What's the best way (tools/process) for prepping 1100 Sq.ft.for a recoat?

What's the best way to deal w/ this when installing a floor coating? Stop at the edge, or can it be rolled over? I don't want to do the apron ( I don't think).

Getting ready to finish my floor, I have a few spots that need attention first. The mid rise lift is gouging the floor where the wheels track. Trying to not damage the finish on the floor after completed if possible. Any suggestions? :beer:
