What ***** is that you can see the little wear marks where either a small nut or handle was for a swivel base... I wish I knew if it was a base you fastened to the bench or was it a table clamp base? Maybe we'll never know... But I'm glad I figured out its an Athol at least. Thanks for all the...

Well after standing in this Texas sun and looking at the writing remains... I'm about 99% sure it says ATHOL. I can make out the "A" and "H" in the five letter word. This is very cool. Now do you think it was a sample? or the real deal? Thanks guys!

I won it with a $61.00 bid. I already had it in my mind I was gonna get it. Im like a lot of vise guys here.... SERIOUS ISSUES lol. It was worth it once I had it in my hands so my addiction is happy now.

I thought that too. It looks like there was at one time something written on the other side, but its way too worn off. You think it was an actual vise or maybe a demo to show somebody who wanted to buy one? It looks like it had a swivel base at one time in its life also.

I won this off eBay the other day and its even more awsome in person, but I dont know who made it? It looks Chas Parker like. The only markings are the "NO.3" on it. None the less its my new favorite vise of my collection :o I also picked this other little one up as well.
