    Above 1200 Sq/FT Restored 1930's Auto Shop

 The bench is gorgeous. Can’t wait to see it finished and installed. I recently built a new cabinet to go above my fridge as part of my never-finished kitchen remodel, but that was/is just paint-grade pine and plywood with a few pocket screws and some prefab doors. It’ll do, but it’s...

    Another 55 F100 build-Long Term

I'm diggin' it. "Traditional hot rod" (big air quotes) or not, what you're doing lives up to the spirit of hot rodding a lot better than some guy who is crying over not beiing able to find the "right" antique Offenhauser carb to go on his flathead/satin-paint/pinstriped/32Ford.

    The Lapidated Garage

The remote system is neat, more information needed there. This: got a chuckle out of me. Been there, done that- though my house isn't as old as what you're working on, remodeling is defnitely that way. Some things people did to "get by" 20 odd years ago leave you going :headscrat Keep at it...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The 12-Gauge Garage

Jack- how does the $.68 tile do when it gets wet? I got a new job and the carport conversion-to-garage is probably back on the agenda- in lieu of cutting out and repouring cement, I'm thinking of tiling over the old/badly finished concrete. Is it too slick for daily driver parking (meaning will...

Let the fun begin! The official toybox thread.

Man. Your place is coming right along, looks great. Those cabinets are every bit as nice as the ones I just rebuilt/ refaced for my kitchen. Great work! :)

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Garage Refurb®

Re: garage refurb I like it, a lot. Good looking space, but more importantly well thought out and solidly constructed. Years from now somebody will still be using that building and thinking “Man, I won the lottery, the old timer that built this thing really did a fine job.” Unless they are...

    Project "Truck Shop" underway

Update(s!)* needed- yours is one of my favorite builds that I've seen. * - What's up with the Wagoneer?

    Exterior Door install

I consider it a matter of personal pride that the exterior doors that I’ve replaced on my house (3 of them so far…) all open and close without binding, and even seal up tight without any additional weatherstrip being added by me. I will say, though, that an adjustable threshold is a remarkable...

Garage build - Modern, Shed Roof, Rain Screen Siding

Nice. I wasn't sure about the smurf blue door, but it plays nicely with the finished Ipe. I'm keeping track to see how your translucent clerestory panels play out. Great job so far, everything looks fantastic.

Shed Project: New Construction Build Thread

Very, very nice. I agree that painting the furring was the right thing to do. Took me a little bit to understand the rain screen thing- we don't see those in my part of the world too much, it doesn't really rain enough to make them popular.

    Remember "Autoist"?

Sad to hear this. I'd never met Tony, but geographically speaking he's not far off, and we'd talked over messages here a couple times. I meant to make it over there and meet him, but that never panned out- I regretted that as soon as I heard what happened. Seemed like a great guy, passionate for...

    Is this big enough?

He must be on warehousejournal.com. That's TEN THOUSAND square feet. Nutty. I could probably disassemble/ spread all my projects out like an exploded view parts diagram in there and still have room to spare.
