First stab at laying shingles and i think it came out good, finished up siding and soffits being finished. Went with the huge oversized gutters that were made onsite and actually pretty cheap.

Next was the siding and also to prevent a comercial look we decided to add to more windows and a second man. door at the rear of the garage.

The second weekend of framing/sheathing/wrap is done. Its amazing how fast the framing goes once you get rolling. And yes i put the wrap on backwards on purpose lol i wasnt sure how long it was going to be to get to siding, so i thought it would be easier on the neighbors. Put the old door back...

After 2 long days of framing and sheathing walls and roof in 1/2” osb we made it to about the half way point of the existing garage structure. Gets hairy taking down the hip rafters!

Long day of framing and cutting in windows late because didnt have actual dimensions until end of the day. Prefabbed trusses for the win! So nice and goes up quick. 24” on center and we braced up every 4 feet for the sheathing and it really tied it together very tight. Money well spent.

The only outside help i had to bring in was a local cement guy on the day of the pour, money well spent considering the money i saved by doing all the prep work first. Luckily we checked the front and found there was no footing across the front of garage probably to save money when the house...

Went with a mono pour which is common for the area. Went down to 30” and lots of stone and wheelbarrows! Lots of compacting in several steps. Bar in the footing and mesh on the slab 5” thick

Went with engineered trusses for a cathedral ceiling. I went wit a true 8 ft wall amd goes to about 10.5 in the middle 20 trusses and 2 ends. Eliminating the hip roof to go to a gable style
