    KR-537a and KR-547??

I should have been more clear, when I said the bottom, I meant the bottom slide, under warranty.

    KR-537a and KR-547??

Probably not because I don't think that would be considered normal wear and tear (unlike the slides). I was able to buy a few new drawers for my KR660 which is the same age as my KR 557 so it is possible that you could get a new drawer from Snap-on.

What is smallest reasonably priced Air Compressor worth owning?

I have (but no longer use) a 33 gallon Craftsman oil less compressor that worked great for basic auto tools (but sucked big time with a DA sander), a little bigger than the Porter-Cable you linked to. I have compared Porter-Cable and CM compressors and I wouldn't be surprised if they came from...

Using cordless (gas) nailer oil in a pneumatic nailer?

http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/INGERSOLLRAND-Air-Tool-50W-Oil-1AJC8?Pid=search You can get 10w, 15w, 20w, 30w, 50w and probably more of air tool oil. Girchy, perhaps call Bostich and see what they spec.

Using cordless (gas) nailer oil in a pneumatic nailer?

I would just get some regular non detergent 30 weight and run that. I have run it through an Hitachi NR83a2 for years, as well as in my porter cable finish nailers and have had no issues. Oil with detergents will mess up the seals.

    KR-537a and KR-547??

I'd pay 300 for sure! I just bought a KR557H which looks very similar to the bottom box and I paid $250. Mine has all friction slides save for the bottom which is roller bearing.

WELCOME TO GARAGE JOURNAL! If you do get a set and you order online, check out Toolsdelivered.com they are very easy to work with and all of my orders from them have been good. This is a new one...

It's a HF rivet. You must first heat it up with a torch, push it in the hole and use an air hammer to mushroom the other end. The "threads" are there to help with the mushroom process. ;);)

Williams Vs. Snap on Comparison Thread

I just looked in my "Snap-on Industrial Brands" catalog issue 1 (current issue is CAT2) page 102 and 103. The satin finish wrenches are not stamped USA and say 'Williams' on the beam rather than 'Supercombo'. Pages 92-99 cover the Supercombo in high polish chrome, industrial finish, safety red...
