    Gearwrench vs Sunex impact sockets

If you are looking at a metric set, the Sunex 2569 set on Amazon is $126. It's a very complete set with shallow and deep up to 30mm, extensions, and a universal. I've used it for the past couple years with no complaints...

Pretty neat stubby set for German cars

Put this in the other thread, but here makes more sense. They look like they may be the same as the Gearwrench Insert Bits. Haven't tried them yet but have been tempted by the 81602 Master Set. Hex, Torx, Tripple Square, Philips and Flat. My big hands don't always play nice with the wife's R53...

    OEMTOOLS 6-Drawer Cart

Anyone have experience with the OEMTOOLS 6-Drawer cart? Looks like a good alternative to the Sunex 8057 cart I've been looking at for a while. 36" x 21.5" x 40.5" 4 Swivel casters Grip-Latch style drawers Corner Guards 238# Weight (Sunex Lists 214# for the 8057) 750# Capacity (Sunex 600#) Red...

New Here From Cecil County, MD

Welcome to the forum. Nice to see another person local. I'm between Elkton & North East. The more you read the larger your "spacious" shop will become, haha.

Looking for some advice on Torx Plus

Sorry for the confusion. The MMS64 does not have Torx Plus, but that's the set I have first hand experience with. They do have Torx Plus in rail sets, and I think they are included in their Master Torx Set

Looking for some advice on Torx Plus

VIM makes really nice bit sockets. I have their MMS64 set (MM/SAE Hex, Torx, Tamper Torx, E-Torx) and all the bits have held up nicely. They would be my first choice for Torx Plus when the need arises.

Searching for a new tool chest

Yea, looks like I read that a bit wrong, haha. Where in PA are you located? I keep an eye on Craigslist quite a bit, and could keep an eye out for ya if you're on the eastern half.

Searching for a new tool chest

I just helped my dad get, set up and organize the Husky. Seemed rather nice quality for the price point. Drawers were nice and smooth when loaded down, and the soft close worked well. For a home garage I'd say it was a nice quality unit. After playing with it for a bit, it's on the top of my...

Getting transmissions and engines up into my harbor freight trailer

HF also has a couple different versions of "Pickup Truck Cranes". Could mount one on the trailer to lift and swing things onto the deck. https://www.harborfreight.com/automotive-motorcycle/truck-cranes/12-ton-capacity-pickup-truck-crane-60732.html...

Modifications to the HF 4 and 5 drawer service carts - what changes have you made?

Check the height of the uprights where they bolt to the drawer assembly at the top. One of them may be sticking up past the top edge a little causing the lid to not sit flat.

    Torx and Hex bit set?

I have both Gearwrench and VIM bit sockets. I've been happy with both. I prefer the VIM bits, but the Gearwrench have held up well. Biggest thing will be finding a set that works for your needs / price, as they all have slightly different size ranges and such. The Vim MMS64 set is in my main...

    Handy to have at auctions,etc

I have a tape measure in every vehicle, and a list on my phone of the general interior dimension of each (Trunk LxWxH, max length with seats down, etc.) Comes in handy when you're not necessarily planning to find random deals, road side yard/estate sales or other neat things at auctions.

How do you get the magnets out of the Harbor Freight Tool Holder?

I took one apart using a cheap flexible putty knife that was chewed up. Cut the width down to fit the U-Channel of the metal and sharpened the edge. Tapped it under the magnets and it cut through the glue more than trying to pry off the magnets. Worked fairly well.

    Under Car Tool Caddy

I built one from bed frame angle iron, some plywood, and HF casters. Added handles to the end, and a couple of the HF 18" magnets. Works out great. https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=293612

    GearWrench 8940

I have several different sets of the Gearwrench ratcheting screwdrivers & T-Handles. I personally really like them, and they have held up great. Also the Lowe's brand Kobalt shafts and such work with the GW as well. They are nice for screws that have resistance the whole way out, or times...

    Wire stuck in plastic conduit

Can you have someone feed the wires in while you pull? Some times it helps to cut down on the friction going into the conduit, and you can also pull back and forth and wiggle a little to help get past snags.

    18V circular saw trade

I'm heavily invested in the Ryobi line (good price point and capability for my personal needs), but if I were you I'd go Milwaukee since you are already set up with that battery line. No need for another platform, with different batteries and chargers.
