Can anyone recommend a hex bit organizer?

Home Depot has a magnetic one as well if you wanted a local option. My local store has them by the casters and pegboard organizers. http://www.homedepot.com/p/25-Compartment-Magnetic-Bit-Holder-581HD/204778500

How do you store your Sawzall blades?

I use a small Plano case. I have the blades, a Lenox handle (accepts reciprocating saw and hacksaw blades), along with blades for my oscillating tool and it's adapters. Also have a couple extra Allen keys for the depth adjustment on the Sawzall and changing blades on the oscillating tool (always...

I want to upgrade my T10-T30 Torx socket bits from Lisle

I've been very happy with my VIM bit sockets. Have the MMS64 master set and they have held up very well. Put enough force through them to snap several Torx rotor screws with no ill effects to the bit sockets.

Modifications to the HF 4 and 5 drawer service carts - what changes have you made?

Made a new top for my Black 8-Drawer. I've had a chunk of bamboo from a Husky 52" box sitting around for a while. After moving it several times over the last few months, decided to cut it up, stain it and make a top. It won't see heavy use as I use the top area for tools, so it's open when I'm...

    Setting up tool kart!

I use some interlocking bins that I picked up from walmart that work well in my black HF cart for the random little things that rattle around. They were a pack of 8 or 9 of various sizes for under $8 I believe. They were in the office supply section with the desk organizers.

    Very low-profile flex-head ratchet

I have the harbor freight one, and it's worked out very well. Don't use it very often, but can be a life saver at times. I also have these adapters from Gearwrench that I use with my normal ratcheting and flex ratcheting wrenches. They fit into a 10mm (1/4" Dr), 13mm (3/8" Dr) and 19mm (1/2...

    Show your new tool arrivals

I think so, though I don't follow that thread carefully. I noticed a half dozen of them a couple weeks ago at around $35-40. Stopped in for a couple things today and saw they had two left tagged the $13 price.

Picked up a couple of nice deals. OTC Valve Spring compressor from AWD($45), Valve Lapping tools, and the Prybar sets from Home Depot ($13ea). One bar set is for myself and the second was for my girlfriend's father. Since we use his lifts often, I try to double up on any good tool deals I find...

Modifications to the HF 4 and 5 drawer service carts - what changes have you made?

Haha, thanks. Figured it wasn't bad for a 1am, couldn't sleep, shop tinkering. Those spaces have bugged me since I switched to that style socket racks. Now I just have to remember I put them there next time I need a chrome 1/2"Dr.

Modifications to the HF 4 and 5 drawer service carts - what changes have you made?

Not a modification per say, but a way to utilize some "dead" space. Don't use the 1/2" Dr. Chrome much but it's nice to have on hand when needed. Couple socket rails cut to length, and a some spare cabinet knobs, and now I can tuck them behind the socket rack between the locking towers.

Modifications to the HF 4 and 5 drawer service carts - what changes have you made?

Depending on what your tool needs are, you could do a second cart (with 4 swivel casters) with some sort of latching setup. Latch them together and have a big roll cart, or pop them apart and have the two smaller carts.

    My task oriented tool carts

I have some interlocking bins from Walmart and they fit nicely in the shallower 4-Drawer cart drawers. They are in the office organizing section. Were available in two different assorted packs with 8-9 bins of various sizes. Think they were under $10 a pack. EDIT: Founds links...

    Lisle low profile filter sockets

Don't have the Lisle set, but have the equivalent 6pc. Gearwrench set (LINK). Picked up my set from Amazon a couple weeks back for $28 shipped. Use them on a 2.2L EcoTec Saturn Ion, and a 2003 MINI Cooper S. The fact they are 3/8" drive allows for more clearance of the socket extension to the...
