    wolverine coatings or budget bob

You regulars know us well enough to know that she is not telling the whole story. I was going to make a long post to address this but who really needs the extra drama. I will say that this was not an easy project as she claims. And, I was the one who stopped the sale. We did not have confidence...

    Epoxy transition at garage doors

I suggest to score a 'key' in under the door. This is done by taking a circular saw with a diamond blade and cutting a straight line. Let the polymer flooring lock into this. Then, put clear out to the edge... it looks good!

    Cycloaliphatic epoxy vs Aliphatic epoxy

Hi All, Sorry I'm late... We get extremely busy before holidays since the facilities that use our products have shut downs. First, I'll start by saying that both the BondTite 1101 AND the LiquaTile 1184 are cycloaliphatic. However, they are much more than that (AHC). I don't want to bore...

POLYPROPYLENE (PP) Vs POLYVINYL CHLORIDE (PVC).

Yeah Yeah Yeah... If I were going to use tiles... I would buy the ones made in America... Racedeck... Let's face it. If China is putting lead in Thomas the Train you KNOW they are putting it in the cheap garage tiles!

What is the best epoxy coating(s)

Nate... our products are used in aircraft hangers... If the hangar is a rebuild site where they use heavy chemicals then they use our Novolac formulations (Chemshield 1800 Series)... otherwise... they typically use our LiquaTile 1184 (just like Fred from AlphaGarage is selling here) or bump up...

    Epoxy and Tile (Brands+Prices)

You only have to buy Wolverine... once. Fred with AlphaGarage has a really nice breakdown of cost vs. thickness. Obviously you have to consider what you get for the money. A 'paper thin' coating should be MUCH cheaper than a 'thick' coating. THEN... a cheap sand filled epoxy should be much...

    Floor Vapor Barrier

My advice... Fire this guy... he is either not knowledgeable enough to build a garage OR... he's a liar. Get a new contractor... Quick!!! 15>4

Behr 1-Part Epoxy or Behr 2-Part Epoxy?

I hate the 'ol 1-Part Epoxy description. There is NO SUCH THING no matter what it says on the can. What this really is... is... an Acrylic Epoxy. Now, sometimes a company will put the 'epoxy' in front of the 'acrylic' and call it an Epoxy Acrylic. So, why would you mix an epoxy with an...

What is the best epoxy coating(s)

Hi guys... I'm afraid I'm going to have to rant a bit... I'm doing this on a personal level as I just get really ticked when companies 'oversell' their products. Everytime I see this kind of deceptive marketing I get really mad. I think it makes our industry and our country look bad! I HATE...

    Epoxy cure time

First, I agree with Rugerlady! Most of those products are only 67% solids at best. When you put a solventborne epoxy on too thick you can see this kind of problem. With 100% solids if you see this it is typically a flexible product or even like our BondTite 1101 which is semi-self-healing...

    I love that color combination!

    Man Cave/Shop floor suggestions?

It's not a question of dry time but of ventilation. MMA has a STRONG odor and can make people sick! It can be used in garages because there is a garage door that can be opened and let the fumes out. The solvent in an MMA many times... probably most times... is trapped within the film and slowly...

Final Decision on Wolverine or Deck

Hi Silver, I'm getting ready to hit the sack so I'm going to do the Readers Digest version here. It sounds like you are fine for our coatings. Fortunately, our primer is NOT sensitive to moisture during application like so many other epoxy coatings can be. But, take the time to talk to Fred at...

    "Motor City Motors" Madness

Man... this was one of the toughest and most stressful job site that I have ever been on. Even while I was on my first flight and the first crew from Chicago showed up on the job site... the phone started ringing. What was supposed to be a flat floor was actually only flat because it had decades...

Premier Garage Being Sued By HP Spartacote

Hi Guys, I'm going to answer a few questions and make a few comments about this. However, I want to point out that the patent in question does NOT cover all polyaspartics. You will see lots of comments and references to the word "overindexing". So, what is "overindexing" in terms that everyone...

    Man Cave/Shop floor suggestions?

MMA? In the basement of a house? It would hold up... you just wouldn't be able to live in it for a few months. :Freak:
