    slowing down power tools

Anybody know of a way? I bought a $10 Makita grinder at the flea market, and want to put a 6" wire wheel on it thats rated for 4500 rpm. The grinder turns about 9000 rpm so its kinda spooky lol. Not to mention it has a switch instead of a paddle lever so it would be rough if it got away from me...

    Kennedy 277 box

I love Kennedy boxes. They will easily last over 35 years if you dont get to crazy loading down the drawers. I have seen several with friction slides thats been used daily (well 5 days a week anyways) for over 30 years and still going strong. Ive had mine loaded down pretty bad and it didnt...

    Very dissapointed with Craftsman sockets

Yes there is an excuse, the price. I don't blame you for being mad for getting junk. But its kinda the gamble you take when buying cheap tools. Craftsman is not to blame, they are just filling a market. I wish it wasnt that way, but people demand stuff cheap, so they get it. What was you...

    Very dissapointed with Craftsman sockets

I wont take up for Craftsmans quality, as it dont matter to me if they make a good tool or not. But to say they are an embarrassment to "American manufacturing capability" is foolish. If you have some way or some new manufacturing technology that could beat out Craftsman, you shouldn't be...

    The Mechanically Declined.....

I have thought of a few more things that makes me feel stupid. I bought a Jeep Wagoneer from my cousin. Well, one day before I bought it, he had the rear axle come out of it going down the road. It ended up spearing itself into the wheel well. But it was fixed when I got it. But one day I...

    The Mechanically Declined.....

Lets here of some things we did when we didn't know any better. I was lucky enough to have my dad around to teach me how to work on things. But boy I have done my fair share of stupid things when I was a kid and he wasnt around to guide me lol. Probably one of the funniest was building speaker...

    I understand pink tools now.

I have been wondering why pink has become a fad even with tools. I have never understood why a man would want a pink tool. I was thinking back about a previous job I worked at and then it hit me why people buy pink tools. At my old job, seemed they had a problem with keeping screwdrivers in the...

I'm jealous of you guys and your craigslist scores.

I never see any great deals, but I'm from a small town. I see some things I would buy if I didnt have to drive an hour.
