Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff!

Got two big Plombs and a P&C today at the flea market The top one is 1 5/16, middle 1 7/16 x 1 1/4, and bottom is 1 1/8 x 1 1/16 The finish is poor but the ends are actually in quite good shape

Stahlwille Stabil 20 spanners – bad batch?

If it is cosmetically unappealing to you I would not look down on you for returning them, but I personally would not be bothered by those at all, especially at that price. If you want non Taiwan made and a higher quality finish that that I guess Japanese might fit the bill, but it will cost more...

Somebody Has to Say It....I don't like SK Round Head Ratchets

I also didn't like them for ergonomics, but I have 4 of them so I use them anyway and one thing I've found is they are extremely strong, and I think most round head designs with the cog teeth on the ratchet handle/body are as well. Walden Socket Set w/ Hex Key

    2019 Garage Sale Thread

I picked up these little socket sets for $4. The sets are complete but the 4 loose sockets have the same 1/2 hex openings on the bottom so I figured they were spares or something. Hopefully the pictures work, first time trying this out.

Has anyone successfully repaired the friction ball on a 1/4 extension?

I did something similar with an old J.H.Williams 3/4 ratchet with a seized spanner nut. I sprayed liquid wrench penetrating oil on the nut and in the locking lug/paw hole and then used a propane torch, and a laser thermometer to heat it up, never going over 300f. It took a few cycles but it worked.

Hex L-keys (Wera, Wiha, Bondhus, Eklind)

I have the Wera hex plus and they are great except for the ball end. You cannot angle it much without it binding and not spinning smoothly, straight on its fine.
