    Heating/ cooling new garage?

This is how I did it. Heats/cools 3 rooms. About 2,700sqft total. Don't have a/c hooked up yet, still need to buy the condenser and run the lines. I have the opposite condition of you, summers are mild with low humidity and winters can be evil.

    New shop/garage heating ideas

I have 3 shop spaces I heat with a conventional furnace. I use a wireless thermostat that I can move to whichever side I want to regulate. The pictures in the link below don't show it very well but I have return air ducts along the floor coming from the other two sides...

VCT tile now done. Looks great!

I put VCT throughout my whole house I built in 2000. I invested in a special shear for vct and did some fun borders and stuff. It looked great. My advice is, make sure you wax right away especially if you put light colors next to each other. The cracks will fill with dirt and it is impossible...

2,000+ sq ft shop floor, advice welcome here

A black pad on a buffer does a great job cleaning up and taking a thin layer off. I used a buffer with the water tank, it was IMO the only way to go.

Heat source in a uninsulated building with no power?

These things are actually quite amazing! I used one to heat my whole uninsulated house to keep the water pipes from freezing while being built. It's a long story, but the water needed to be on. It was 20 below zero and I would blast the thing to bring the temp up over 70 before going home...

    Heated Driveway

This is why my #1 first priority when buying a home has always been, "It has to face south!" Period. Also, I see many east and west facing homes that shade the walkway with the garage. Drives me a little nuts. Don't they know, all you had to do is flip the house plan to have the garage wall...

Help on DIY Hangar floor paint removal & refinish

I think you are just going to have to give it a try. I wasn't trying to remove a hardened layer of concrete, just a coating that I let dry on the surface that in hind sight should have been rinsed off before drying. I was using colloidal silica, the stuff that you aren't suppose to need to...

    PEX Air Line Fittings

Did my shop/garage in 3/4 pex with 1/2 drops. If you haven't seen this video, its kinda fun to watch. Pressure testing pex Here is how I terminated the ends. My only advice is keep your mounting points close(< 3') on horizontal runs to reduce sagging.

Help on DIY Hangar floor paint removal & refinish

I believe that is what the dimabrush is. https://www.homedepot.com/p/rental/Diamabrush-Coating-Removal-Disc-7-12569/309406722 My Home Depo was reluctant to rent it to me. I guess the blades break fairly easy and cost a lot.

Help on DIY Hangar floor paint removal & refinish

I did the dimabrush thing to remove a bad densifier layer on 1,280 sqft. I went slow and did a cross hatch pattern on 10'x12' sections. Took me about an hour each section or 12 hrs. I used the Home Depo unit that had the water tank, a must in my book. If I were you, I would take 8 hours and...

    LP tank inside garage?

I have a friend who has done exactly what you described. My strongest advice to him, was regarding a full tank of cold propane brought into a warm shop will expand and pop off the over pressure valve. I actually had this happen during a construction project, so I know it happens. Be careful.
