What are my options to keep a small section of exposed water line from freezing?

The thought I had, was to run a line back to the house and make a loop and install a circulating pump to keep the water moving so it won't freeze. This way you won't waste water. Also, your water will be very cold! A pump might even use less power than a long heat tape.

    RockSolid Question

Trust me when I say that I am not a fan of the grammar police/Nazis. Also, I don't mean to offend, I am sure it was a simple keyboard slip, but this made me laugh. Using then in place of than says exactly the opposite from the intended post.

Is anyone doing a conventional forced air system for their pole barn?

Sorry for the late response, apparently I don't have notifications on. In any case, I just used a new 3" hole saw. I cut out a cardboard jig that I taped a torpedo level on. That allowed me to get all the holes at the same angle. I would attach a pic but I can't find it or I should say any of...

Help me with a shelf solution that is clear underneath

These are awesome!! I have them everywhere. I set a 24" shelf on the 20" brackets and a 16" shelf on the 14" brackets. Allows 2 and 3 shelves from a 48" sheet of particle board. I get 5 shelves per standard. I start with a 16" shelf on the bottom around 16" off the floor, or enough room...

Is anyone doing a conventional forced air system for their pole barn?

It's not a pole barn, but maybe something close to what you were thinking. The spiral register saddles and grills are expensive. So while cruising around the net, I saw this method of cutting 3" holes for vents. Seems to work pretty good. I've managed to get the total external static...

    Boarding windows for security

You don't have to be so cynical. Not all garages have windows. I wonder if there are statistics on how many guys have burnt to death while working in their garage because there was no window to jump out? I would think that if most of us were in the garage and a fire broke out, we would...
