Looking for long term feedback on Snap On CT8810 cordless 3/8 impact.

I had one that I sold to a buddy at work and it has been absolutely flawless for both of us. Two other techs at work use them and have had the same results. Great power and runtime!

SO Cordless Ratchet, SO 1/4" ratchet, SO hard handle screwdrivers

Need to get rid of a few things to, as usual, make room for a few more! Please PM me with any questions or would like additional pics/info. Snap-On 3/8" Cordless Ratchet - I got this off the truck a week ago in a trade deal my driver and I worked out. Fact is, I just don't NEED it. Pretty much...

Just wanted to share my shop set-up. (Pic heavy)

Thank you, 85, that means a lot. You're also right about the Snap-On stuff. I do own some of their stuff, and some Mac stuff as well, but the Mac stuff was actually handed down to me from family members. I got a metric shallow socket set and metric/standard wrenches from my grandpa that are very...

Just wanted to share my shop set-up. (Pic heavy)

And I tip my hat to you for finishing your degrees and sticking with it! Look at it this way.. you have your whole life to use your hands, use what you make in the office to fund your own projects and work on what you WANT to, not just what you HAVE to! Heck, gain enough experience in your field...

I agree, it IS a headache when you have to move. The workbench will most likely be coming home in the next few months for that exact reason. I just had to let it sit beside the stainless toolbox at least for a while.

I love the Makita cordless combo, well worth every penny. The impact has plenty of power to handle what I use it for. Great for removing/installing cowls, exterior trim pieces and body work (i.e. mud gaurds, headlights, bumpers), interior work, and stripping engines with small fasteners all over...

Just wanted to share my shop set-up. (Pic heavy)

Going on two years in February. I grew up around heavy equipment, but ended up going to college for marketing/finance. I finally decided to just do what I WANTED to do in the first place. I started out changing tires and oil at a local chain shop by the name of Raben Tire, took a few ASE's...

    Black wrench rust removal

I've had good luck with a couple gun care products on black tools, CLP and Flitz are the two that I've used most.

Just wanted to share my shop set-up. (Pic heavy)

A co-worker of mine bought a new huuuge Matco tool box and the cart was thrown in for free. Matco hasn't actually released it on the website it doesn't look like, but the Matco man said it was going to be the new version of their heavy duty service cart. It runs ~$800 off the truck, I got it for...

Just wanted to share my shop set-up. (Pic heavy)

I've been blessed with lots of opportunities in my fairly short career as tech and with some hot-deal shopping I've been able to build a pretty nice set-up of my own. It may not be the best, but I sure am proud of it and I thought I'd share it with all the fellow tool junkies on here! I have...

    assisted opening edc knife

In the $40 range, I'd go with a Kershaw. You can still grab USA models in that price range and I've had pretty good luck with them. For EDC duty - opening boxes, cutting the occasional zip tie, etc - they are hard to beat for the price.

Is this Makita set worth the $99???

It's worth it. I use cordless stuff all day, every day at a dealership. I use this kit as much as my SO cordless ratchet and my 3/8" and 1/2" impact. Get some magnetic nut setters from Harbor Freight and a good bit set and you won't be disappointed. The case is very nice as well, makes it great...

Snap On Li-Ion Screw Gun, Snap On Green 1/4" ratchet, Knipex Pliers

Got a few things I'd like to sell. - SO Lithium Ion screw gun is in awesome condition and has barely been used. Comes with 2 batteries, carrying case, charger. All in virtually new condition. $180 - Snap-On green hard handle swivel ratchet. Used, but works perfectly. Have 2 and don't need more...

    Tool truck visits

We get Snap-On and Mac on Thursday, and Matco and an independent gentleman on Friday. If you're polite and don't miss payments any of the big 3 there will gladly stop by any day of the week and sometimes even in their personal vehicles. Mutual respect and good business etiquette can go a long...

    Show your new tool arrivals

^^ The 7.2v Screw-Gun will accept the 14.4v battery, but not vice-versa. Crazy good runtime with the larger batteries and in my opinion there is no comparison between the Snap-On cordless ratchet and anything else on the market. It took me several weeks to convince myself to pick one up, but I...

    Snap-On CT8810 3/8" and CTS661 Screwdriver (lithium ion tools)

I hate to see these go, but I'm going to need the extra money to dive into first time home-ownership. They are both only a couple months old and in great shape. The 8810 is Snap-On's newest 3/8" impact and it is a WORKHORSE! The thing surprises me every time I use it and I'm rather confident...

    Anybody still supporting Craftsman

Davefr and many others have made great points. Retailers across the board would much rather sell high end, quality products if the demand was there. There will always be cheap tools, cheap cars, cheap guns, and the list goes on. I will never hold it against a young mechanic for buying Chinese...

Lets see your Tool Carts/Service Carts

With the exception of diagnostic equipment and alignment tools, I can work out of this cart probably 99% of the time without having to reach into my full size box. Carts are the way to go!
