    Cold Rolled Steel Building Vendor

I'm looking for a cold-rolled steel building vendor, preferably not a ACT Buliding systems reseller. I've submitted multiple quote forms for various ACT resellers and got no responses, also tried calling them and no one picks up the phone. Not sure if everyone's so busy they don't need new...

    Insulating metal buildings

I've heard mixed reviews on spray foam for metal buildings, where if water gets behind the metal sheeting via the rivets or other breaks it will sit between the foam and metal and either cause mold, rust or both. My understanding is it may take a few years for this to develop based on your...

Steel cost. Are they following lumber prices?

Mixed messages, I'm struggling to get a call back from steel building companies on a quote here in Colorado, and the few who do give me any info are telling me there's a 3-4 month lead time.

    Steel Building Market

Thanks all for the replies, it confirmed what I was afraid of, just when I have the space and money, the whole industry blows up. 🙄 Follow up question: Any idea whats causing the crazy demand? and any idea if things will settle down any time soon (this year)? @Readhead my post count is too low...

    Steel Building Market

Howdy Gents, I'm in the market for a steel building (30x33) and I'm having a tough time getting a quote, I've filled out some quote forms and sent emails to the a few places but not getting much of a response. I've had a few casual conversations but no hard numbers. I've been told there's a...

    New build, no gas

Conifer I'm leaning toward the heat pump, seems I can get a pretty high efficiency 48k unit for under $4k; installing a 1000lbs tank would logistically be a PITA since it would require excavating and maybe some tricky pipe work (I'm on a steep hillside), so my upfront cost would be pretty high.

    New build, no gas

There's no infrastructure here for LPG/NG, so I have to consider other options. The way the building is situated, it doesn't get much direct sunlight, especially during winter hours, so until solar tech becomes very efficient, I don't think its really feasible. Will definitely be laying foam...

    New build, no gas

I’m prepping to build a new garage/workshop, located in Colorado, where winters get down to single digits frequently and sub-zero a few times a year. Natural gas isn’t an option so I’m considering a few options to keep temps high and costs low. - Structure: detached 1400sqft steel building, I...
