Nope, I meant solid wood like maple, oak, poplar, or pine instead of MDF. Now for trim I have thought of PVC for wet areas like bathrooms.

They are all MDF now and show no signs of swelling. However, I'd just like the idea of real wood. I will also be replacing all the base boards as well. I'd like to use real wood, but have not seen square edged real wood trim that measures 3.25". Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.
