Stair Supplies: Looking for pieces to build railing

I am looking for a supplier for railing parts. Here are some pics of the newel post, balusters, and handrails I'm looking for. The balusters are round. Basically looking for a source to build every bit of this railing.

    Hardware Sourcing: Cap Nuts

Yakima has a kit for mounting roofrack tracks. They call it a CapNut kit. I am wondering if they are a common sourced part, or custom to them. Does anyone know of source for something like this besides buying it directly from Yakima? I ask because I may want to use different size hardware...

    Fire Alarms

I'm looking for new fire alarms. My olds ones were so sensitive, I could not cook a pizza without them going off. What are some nice models? What new features are available? Smartphone integration? Sensitivity settings? Do any have Monoxide built in? The normal "what should I buy" thread...

    Soft Jaws for 6.5" vise

I'm looking for rubber/poly soft jaws for a Wilton 1765. All the ones I've seen are 5.5" or 6". I can't seem to find a 6.5" poly version. Anyone know of a source?

Is anyone having issues with their drill chuck not releasing? About 10% of the time it will just not let you undo the tension. Today, i had to use a strap wrench to get the bit holder out of the chuck. This thing is brand new and I have not even depleted one batter with it. Model 2704.

    Circular Saw: Skilsaw vs Milwaukee

Terry, I agree with you on the trigger thing. For some reason, I did not mind it on my cordless saw, but hate them on corded version. I'll have to check the Skil out at HD to see if it has a safety trigger. I also want to check out the Makita 5007mg or 5007mga.

    Circular Saw: Skilsaw vs Milwaukee

Cajun, I do like cordless circular saws. Had one of the original 18v Dewalt versions. It did just fine. I can only image the new Fuel saw would be amazing. It comes do to cost benefit and longevity. The 18v nicad was long in the tooth. Battery style had changed so the saw was quickly...

    Circular Saw: Skilsaw vs Milwaukee

I have never needed to cut something more than 45degrees with a circular saw. What is the need for the 50 and 56 degrees bevels? Larry G, The tilt-lok is definitely not something to worry about. The Milwaukees I have used that have this feature are very solid. Never seen a problem with it...

    Circular Saw: Skilsaw vs Milwaukee

I am looking to purchase a new circular saw. I have only used ancient Skils and Milwaukees. I have narrowed it down to the Skil SPT67WM-22 and the Milwuakee 6390-20. Thoughts on either of these. It seems the Skil only has a depth @90 of 2", while everything else is around 2.5". Has this...

    Qwiklok Safe Locking Electrical Plug

Anyone ever try these Qwiklok plug ends? I like the concept, but the price is a little steep. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00P04L40G/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Anyone have any issues with the USB port on their M18 lantern 2363-20? It does not seem to turn on the USB the first or three or four depressions of the button. Did I get a lemon? It seems to work indiscriminately each time. But rarely on first try. I just took it out of the box two days ago.

Just received the 2704-22 hammer drill. Got the M18 Lantern as bonus. Just entered everything into One-Key for tracking. So far I like both the drill and the management system.
