    How did you decide that the spring you bought was the correct size? Springs sizes for overhead doors are chosen by door weight and height. It sounds like you chose the wrong spring size. If you are not sure what the correct spring for that door is. You need to weigh the door.

    Support the old sink bowl while cutting it. Board across the top with a rope threw the drain hole will do it.
