    I got this vise the other day and did some searching on how old this might be. I figured someone here would be able to shed some light on how old it is. The writing says Prentiss no 3 First pictures are how I found it last photo is after all the ugly paint removed.

    R value of garage doors

    I was looking at garage doors awhile back also. I don't understand how some of these companies can claim to have R18 from 2" of polyurethane foam. The best I've seen from the best foam is R 6 or 7, which comes to R14 at best. I'm still leaning toward the 2" thick door myself.

    2x48 vs 2x72 belt grinder which one?

    I have a 72" I'm pretty sure the 72" belt will run cooler. How much, I don't know. I think you might look at the cost of the belts. I think 72" belts are more common and might be less expensive. Also easier to find.

    I was told by someone I know that works for a company that sells to menards today that it will not be Craftsman at Menards. He did not know what brand was replacing the discontinued ones. or if it was going to be USA or not.
