New speed perks from AA.. ripoff?

25% is the common biggest I see. I have not seen a 40-45% off in over a year. Its also important to keep in mind some coupons have minimums buys and max discounts and this can make lower discounts work in your favor on larger buys. Those seem like the glory days now. When I say 40 off 100 I...

New speed perks from AA.. ripoff?

Exactly, and toss on a 20$ off coupon if you are picking up a a few things its easy to knock that down more. Also, some things like a spark plug Im fine ordering from RA, but a Radiator, waterpump, Steering box, etc, that local pickup lifetime warranty is going to be key. If the Speed perks...

New speed perks from AA.. ripoff?

Might depend on the parts you order. Without discounts, yes. After discounts its way cheaper on most things I buy. I rarely go anyplace else because of this unless its a stock issue.

New speed perks from AA.. ripoff?

You can see the terms here and with a calculator, you can easily see how at club level you earn 50% the rewards as before and elite you earn about 60% spending double. Its all bean counting and marketing. Put some math to it and you can see it. You are getting less. I have not had a chance...

New speed perks from AA.. ripoff?

Id argue you didn't know how to properly work the prior system. I was working nearly 45 off per 100. They don't have 20$ off coupons anymore from what I see. Its worse for people spending large amounts there.

New speed perks from AA.. ripoff?

Worse based on what I can tell. I use the hell out of speed perks. Its the ONLY reason I shop so much at a local AA. If I stop finding value in this, Ill move to shopping at another store giving discounts or back to online retailers.

lincoln weld pak 140 deal or scam

I would guess its no different than a Hobart 140 and I wouldn't trust that past 3/16 unless you are just using it for metal glue. That said, 3/16 will cover most of your work for the average joe. Duty cycle however....

lincoln weld pak 140 deal or scam

Unless they have the SN on the outside of the box I don't see how they would. The SN would be on the unit and the warranty would tie to registering it. That typically requires a receipt. The registration warranty only comes into place when the model is reaching EOL and it comes into question if...

lincoln weld pak 140 deal or scam

I picked up a 210MVP for 680 from Northern awhile back. Great deal, but Im also open to other things if I see a way to move it. I walked into Northern a few months ago and they where clearing out tons of stuff, dirt cheap. Bought a Husqvarna ADW mower for 190 and a Klutch MIG 180SG...

How often and where do you use an adjustable wrench

I have an 24 inch proto one I used for adjusting offroad control arm jam nuts. That's the only use for it but its also the best tool for the job. I keep a single 1-7/8 Crowfoot for the trail, but that only fits my setup.

    Astro Pneumatic Tool Company

I own both. The key difference I have noted was the LED color temp and the battery/charging. The clone LED color is colder (blue) and the battery life was longer in the first few weeks than Astros and then tapered off sharply over time. I also noted it wont take a full charge from a lower amp...

Pipe wrench for stripped diff fill plug?

People laugh at me for having this in my assortment of tools but this is exactly when its useful. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008M23A5U/?tag=atomicindus08-20 If it was me? Heat/MAP, penetrating oil, hammer/vibrations, wait 10 minutes, hammer in a torx, heat and turn that thing out.

    Best maintenance tool bag?

Its not a ZOMBIE multitool Axe with tactical dovetails. Its a tool roll that uses 4 pouches instead of individual pockets. The BucketBoss is a china clone of it. Id hardly call anything BucketBoss makes tacti-cool prepper stuff. Is there other products atlas46 makes that could be seen as...

    Best maintenance tool bag?

I use this. I bought it when he first started making them. He has expanded on it with the Yorktown, XL, Doublezip, detachable, etc. You have to figure out what you need. For me the basic is perfect. If I was to upgrade, I might do the XL just to make fitting a few long wrenches easier...
