Good prices on the 13 piece pro wrench sets and the 5 piece huge wrench sets for anyone who missed the double 20% off earlier. With the $5 coupon it works out to within a buck or so of the prices during the -20% -20% -10% sale.

I think the confusion on the HF box is that they sometimes run a coupon to get it for $340. You can't combine that with the 20% coupon. The "regular" sale price is $399 with no coupon needed so you can use the 20% off with it and get it for $320.

Not in my experience. The $340 is with a coupon and you can only use one coupon. $399 sale price with 20% off coupon is your best bet.

I finally had to pull the trigger on the 13 piece standard professional combo set. I'm still building my collection of tools and need decent wrenches and $54 in store pickup seems like a great price for that set.

I believe it should actually be 52 teeth. Ebay ads always cut and paste the wrong information. Verify the model number and don't sweat the description.

The set of all sockets is on sale. That doesn't seem to be one they advertise too often. I seem to remember that the sale price was about what the regular price was last year, however.

+1 on the Harbor Freight US General boxes. I like mine a lot more than the last few boxes I've seen at Costco. You can pickup the top, bottom, and side cab at HF for less than that $800 combo at Costco online.

The 1/2" Big Dawg with grip is a pretty decent price. I don't think I've seen that one before.

Good catch. Last time I got GearWrench from Amazon was the 1/2" Metric set for ~$35. I think this is an even better deal.

I don't have any idea how useful it is, but I think it's just a rebadged gearwrench set. linky You should be able to get it a lot cheaper than Matco, but if you have a student discount it may be a decent deal.

I was back at my Lowes yesterday and they had restocked a little and marked prices back up from the clearance price to the "new lower price" level. Things like the screwdriver and nutdriver sets went from $15 back to $30. This is a strange way to clearance items.

It looks like the 12 piece 1/2 deep impact sets are going for $40.49 when you add them to your cart. I'm pretty sure the normal best sale price is $45, so not too bad.

I decided to stop by my Lowes on the way home and see what they had. Some stuff marked lower price and some clearance. I picked up a 6" needle nose, 8" dikes, the Klein Kurve 10-18 awg strippers, a 10-in-1 screwdriver, and the 7 piece cushion grip screwdrivers for $40.34. Not too bad I think.

If it's free I'm in! :) I like the logo stuff, not so sure about the skulls. I must be getting old.

I really like the look of the stubby Craftsman Pro's with the full size handle. Are there any other manufacturers that make something similar?

I have the 41" US General from Harbor Freight and I really like it. I have all three sizes of Hanson trays in the top drawer and there is plenty of clearance. Feels like a very high quality box and it's only $320 if you wait till they have a 20% off coupon.

Is it just me, or does anyone else have no interest in sliding under a car with anything advertised as "BONE-CRUSHING"?
