Sawcut two 3'x3' footings out of the footing would be the best plan of attack. Trench 18" down into your sub base, then auger in 19mm or 25mm epoxy coated rebar a min of 6" into your sub base. Then pour your 18" footing with 3500 psi min class B concrete and have hardened stainless studs...

Wow, amazing journey with your garage! I like the abutment wall style foundation as long as you dont retain any water from it. That place looks amazingly strong, and the dyed concrete is definitely the way to go if its to be used as a mechanics garage- Awesome work! Good Luck

Craftsmans Nextec can be had for dirt, and works excellent.

Typically when the square drive is rounded like that, it indicates impact use. Why would you need a breaker bar for a 13mm? Looks like you should have been using some penetrating oil and an impact w/ impact sockets.
