The knob in the lower corner of the photo turns the shaft inside the sleeve (2nd knob) with the 1/4" drive at the end of the flexible tip.
I don't know if it had a specific purpose. Will see who else weights in.
It has Blue Point USA on the end.
Check your local fire department.....some of the folks may still have some of the older steel air pack and oxy. cylinders. They make great chimes. I will get a picture for ya, a local fella makes asst. chimes from old cylinders. He has one using an "M" size welding cyl. It's huge!
Great starter bolt wrench, love looking through boxes at the swap meets. Still looking for Craftsman starter and speciality wrenches and C series ratchet to complete my set.....and so goes the journey. Never enough tools!

I resurrected an old steel bench frame, the top was shot. I had 2 sheets of OSB. Cut 36 x 72 and laminated 3 layers with glue/screws. Topped it with a piece of 3/4" horse stall mat.
Great solid surface, handles heavy car parts, and cleans well.

Thanks for pointing out my typo. Agreed there were lots of square head bolts used in days gone by but it has an intended purpose for those who are still guessing.

Fender repair - 1950 Ford F1
Had a friend help me form the panels needed with a brake and shrinker/stretcher tool. I cut off 3" or so and welded in the new sections. Used a Miller 185 MIG with .023 wire. Used a hammer weld technique and finished with a little bit of filler. The new radius...
Now some old timers will know right away. I found these in the bottom of a tool bin at an antique store. I was stumped when I first saw them. Have been a handy tool in the shop.

Nice job on the refurbishing.
I dissasembled mine when I bought it to clean and lube. Replaced the cross feed nut and adjusted the ways. Still needs a couple of bushings replaced. Will do a complete dissassembly and paint in a year or so.
