    SATA 42-Piece 3/8-Inch Drive Metric 120P

I bought a set at $55. Lots of tools for the money. However, the finish quality of the ratchet is not as nice as my GW 3/8" 120XP even though they appear very similar. Also, the chrome finish is not as good as my GW sockets.

Definitely a defective unit. Send it in for warranty repair. I have the 1/2" stubby and it is very powerful for its size.

How many ratchets do you have in your tool collection?

Greetings! I am new to this forum and enjoy the camaraderie and helpful advice. I'm a DIY'er and perform basic maintenance on my cars. I haven't purchased a new ratchet in over 20 years until I joined this forum and recently purchased 10 new ratchets in the past month. I haven't had a...

    Is a 3/8" drive a bad choice for a mid-torque impact wrench?

Just curious, is there a maximum torque rating that quality cr-mo 3/8" impact sockets can handle? My 3/8" mid-torque supposedly is rated at 600 ib ft. I assume the sockets can easily handle 2x or more than my impact tool can generate? Or maybe the fasteners are the weak link? My Sunex set...

    Is a 3/8" drive a bad choice for a mid-torque impact wrench?

I haven't put the gen3 compact to use yet. However, the tri-LED lights are big improvement over the single bulb on the stubby. I do like the smaller size of the stubby with a 2.0 battery though.

    Is a 3/8" drive a bad choice for a mid-torque impact wrench?

Thank you everyone for your feedback! I'm probably going to keep everything w/ possibly the exception of the gen3 compact as M635_guy recommended. That would be the perfect excuse to get a battery powered ratchet, but then which one? LOL. Might try the new one that's coming out this month...

    Is a 3/8" drive a bad choice for a mid-torque impact wrench?

I have been going back and forth buying various Milwaukee impact wrenches after reading various posts and articles on the Internet. There is no consensus which combo is best, which is not a surprise, but confusing to a rookie tool guy. I currently have the following Milwaukee impacts sitting...

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I bought two new impact drivers. The m18 1/4" Hex driver (#2853) and the m12 1/4" Hex driver (#2553). Is there any reason to have both? BTW, I also a 2960 mid-torque as my other impact tool.
