Radiant heat manifold flow meter way off

Yes in #2 I am referring to the flow meters on the loops themselves. With 5/16" pex you want about .5-1 gallon per minute of flow. By turning the cap on the manifold for the zone you should be able to increase or decrease the flow meter reading for each zone. I am guessing that the manifold has...

    In floor radiant advice

OH yeah, I forgot one other thing is that you don't really want to heat the water to HOT for the cement floor. You can get by with 100' water so a "boiler" is not really needed. If you do have a boiler, you will definitely need a mixing valve. If you use a water heater, be it gas, or electric...

Some of the reason a H20 heater efficiancy rating is low is due to the stored water loosing its heat. BUT if that water heater is in the building all of the LOST heat is actually going into the building anyway, so it is not LOST. You also do not NEED to vent the water heater to the outside...

A propane water heater is rated at 35,000btu max output, and you can regulate the temperature of it up to 140' so it might be good option. It does take up a little space, but they are very economical and not to hard to find good used ones on Clist. They have very little maintenance to go wrong...

Radiant heat manifold flow meter way off

You may have a few different issues that could be causing this. #1 being you have air in the zone with no heat and you will need to get rid of that before it will circulated. Do that by shutting off the other 2 zones and opening up the drain and then the fill valve until you have water flowing...

Radiant floor heat in the house dyi ?

OK so I have a 100+ old farm house and it has crawl space under the kitchen and dining room floor. I struggled heating the kitchen and no matter how hot it was in there, the floor on the west side was always about 50'. That is when I decided I would do the pex under the floor. It was a pain in...

    Lithium Emergency Start Battery

I have the Powerall, and it has come in handy more then once. My wife keeps it in her Jeep plugged in and she has helped out a couple people as well. For the $100 it cost, it has saved a lot on peace of mind knowing you have something there to help out when needed. I was skeptical about them...

Charge your phone and jump start your car??

I bought the Powerall and I thought I would try it out on a 5.0l mustang that was sitting since last summer. I hooked up a batter to the car and it cranked like 2 times and then WRRR nothing. SO I pulled out the powerall and hooked it up along with the battery. I jumped in and started cranking...
