    I need more Air

perhaps relocating/replacing the tool boxes is an option. that just happens to be my main work space. or maybe a horizontal compressor in the left front with a work bench & boxes built over it w/ some other relocating. at the right front where the press is.... thats where my hot water heater...

    I need more Air

Well, I've reached my limit and tolerance for the compressor I currently have. Normally that wouldn't be a problem since I'd just go out and buy something proper. I'd really like to run my air tools (small cut off wheels, body saw, angle grinder, air drill, etc) w/o experiencing the dreaded...

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

I have a stamped steel mig cart from another source. It was a little floppy too. however since you have a welder.... weld up all the joints. it will stiffen up quite well. mine is much nicer. I suppose I could build my own but I didn't have time ages ago when i got the welder.

    slab cost in S. Tx

flat work for house when we priced out this summer was about $3/sq ft, for your drive etc. I would suspect when having more basic work like you're doing it would be a hair cheaper than when going through a builder like us..

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Re: what did you do in your garage today? On Saturday we installed 8 120V outlets using 12-2 and a GFCI 20A breaker. this is a huge improvement. previously i had one 15A outlet at the front of the garage and one overhead for the shop light. I now have enough for easy access on multi...

How to ensure your garage door is closed when you go to sleep.

I actually have had one of these craftsman deals for 3-4 years. for me it works great. before, I'd left my door open many times and only realized it when leaving for work the next day. never did anything disappear but it certainly could have been bad. Anyway, the sender part is mounted to the...

    Solid Rivets 101

A beginner's buyers guide would be nice. I've been wanting to do solid rivets for a while now. this thread got me re-energized. I found a basic 5-set of .401 rivet sets on ebay and am planning on buying a 3x used rivet air hammer to get started. Mostly interested in basic brass and aluminum...
