    Anyone with "Ring" experience?

I have the ring Low Voltage transformer. It works well and is easily controlled with the app. I have my LV lights come on at dusk, turn off at midnight and then regular porch and carriage lights turn on at midnight then odd at dawn. Pretty easy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    FINALLY Decided on Racedeck

It’s funny you say that , that dude was square in the middle of my driveway a couple feet from The garage. The truck was empty once we unloaded. He was ready to go home. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    FINALLY Decided on Racedeck

Thanks CJ dave! I appreciate that. We are headed out of town for a week so my wife made me promise I wouldn’t start until we got back. My design is pretty boring. All graphite but with a red square outline in the middle. It goes with the grey walls and red cabinets someone gave me. The...

    FINALLY Decided on Racedeck

Racedeck it is. I bought 450 sq ft of Tuffshield. As much as I like the free flow, I was just afraid of dropping things down in the cracks and it just becoming difficult to keep clean. I get a lot of tracked in dirt and leaves My question- is there a garage door threshold seal that...

Cheating on Copper with PEX! ??

Just to close the loop- we installed the Woodford Hot and Cold faucet with Pex and the house has not caved in. Yet.... It’s nice washing off 2 muddy labradors with warm water, for me more than them. Thanks all for the advice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Flex Seal For Post Rot

17 years ago , CCA was used for pressure treating, but some kids had to go chewing on the posts and get arsenic poisoning and ruined it for all of us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Budget Rotating Hammer

Not sure I’d have this if I needed to make a living with it, but it’s done everything I’ve asked. I also have a 1/2” chuck milwaukee corded hammer drill from CPO outlet for like 75 bucks. It too has never failed. Just depends upon your needs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Shower door / outlet questions

So you ring the doorbell to get hot water? I’d disable/remove the device and put a blank plate on it. Get the door where you want and then fix it back the way you like when they leave. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Best stud finder

I’m going to be the dissenting opinion on Franklin Sensors. I bought one and it sucked. It was always missing normal 2x4 framing and 1/2 drywall. Nice folks at Franklin sent me a free replacement which worked for a short while. If I can get it to turn on, it usually is 1 for 5 on finding...

I finally got around to using the vac to **** up drywall dust from some small repairs. It doesn’t blow me away, but I didn’t want to haul around , or pay for, the 36v. I’m loving the impact. I just put in 130 feet of aluminum fence and it’s awesome. I also swapped out the X lock grinder...

Will this compressor power a 1" impact?

If this is the heart of the business, swapping semi tires in a mobile environment, the LAST thing id want is to wait for a compressor to spool back up so I can take off the remaining bolts. I know you have to watch money going on your own but it has to make you money, not cost you money...

Cheating on Copper with PEX! ??

Guys- question for you... I like the idea of not restricting flow in the fittings of PEX -A, but it doesn’t appear fittings and expanders are readily available at Lowes/ HD. I’m looking at adding a hot/cold faucet on the outside of my house to replace just the cold under our kitchen faucet...

Thanks for the heads up on the bristle brush from HD. I can’t believe how small the new impact is! I have a regular 18v impact that is from 2012. It’s like 2x the size! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

z j Had a few new friends join the party. I’m looking forward to using the new impact to run circles around my buddies Dewalt. I run a home improvement side business so the vacuum will be good to clean Up. Not the most exciting addition, lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cheating on Copper with PEX! ??

Good call on the inspection. I will call the AHJ and ask about the house 3 streets over, lol I like the look of all the Viega propress , but for and average user, I’m not sure it makes sense $ wise. Why are cordless crimpers $2000?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cheating on Copper with PEX! ??

All- I’m planning the basement buildout. I need to relocate a number of copper pipes and I am thinking about stepping out on Copper for PEX, lol... I have no trouble sweating joints, other than the occasional water in the pipe that keeps the joint cold. I was working at a buddies house...
