Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT I'd love to have a shop that looked like this.

I saw that magazine on the shelf, I thumbed through it and did not buy it because I have seen all or at least most of the photos here in garage journal.

    po' folks have po' ways

I often grab drawers from the side of the road. Slides, handles and hinges add up quick, there is a ton of particle board furniture that people throw out, wood is junk, but the hardware is fine. Remember, the fun is in the getting there.

    injuries! who's workin with em?

Yeah I put my teeth through my lower below the lip. That pain was annoying. Also broke both legs several times, once with 30 breaks, the right femur was in 9 places, ankles have the cartilage smashed right out/gone. 9 broken vertibrae between shoulder blades and at base of back, broke my...

With a great shop like that you cant be suffering with too much garage envy. I built an '82 notch, 4cyl shell, mexican block line bored, studded, '68 289 heads cc'd with 1.94, 1.60 stainless valves, harland sharp roller rockers, 350 chev forged pistons, 289 con rods, (slightly longer than 302)...

    overhead storage rack

One, welcome to the forum, and you are posting in the wrong section. Location would be essential for an answer to your post. In Canada we have metal supermarket which could be a good choice. If price is the biggest factor, hit a metal recycler, scrapyard and do some scrounging.

I have a modded GSXR 1000 too. You don't need that much distance to get up to speed, I have hit 284 km/hr and it got there in a hurry. My Garmin actually flew off, I recovered it a couple days later and it actually powered up and my top speed was recorded.

    Motorcycle Garages Only

Oddly enough, we all strive to have the greatest finished product, but I have found the most enjoyment is in the getting there. Once things are done, well, what do you do now? First time I came to this realization was when I built an '82 mustang street/strip car. After it was done, (3 years...

Above 1200 Sq/FT Cars, motos, gas & oil and such

Awesome thread  Be glad you are not in Canada, government automatically gets 55% of my income direct in taxes plus additional % to Canada pension, Employment insurance (which they will never allow me to collect) and a couple other small grabs. We need a revolution up here!

    My new workshop!

RZ 350=scary fast, deceptive when someone tells you the displacement. An old friend of mine who machines aftermarket pieces for KTM was custom building aluminum frames to house RZ 350 motors. As for poor pre garage stories, I once changed an exhaust valve from a 351 W ford van in a Canadian...

    French Drain

Lake Scugog is 50 yards to the right of picture. People travel from far away to ice fish here. Excellent Pickerel and Muskie fishing. I have a boat but don't fish, go figure :headscrat

    French Drain

Last year I spent most of my summer/fall putting in a driveway out to my garage. This involved burying the 220 line for power, a cold water line and a weeping system to try to deal with the extreme spring water run off that formed a raging river acroos my property. Well, this spring tested my...

Pics of crushed stone parking pads?

Trick is to mix up the size of gravel, example which I did, B gravel base which is 3/4 stone with lots of sand, then a load of 3/4 gravel and topped with the limestone screening stone. The assorted stone aparently weaves together and makes for a better, adhesive pack. What I was told by the...

    Terrible Herbst

I stayed at his casino once in Vegas, Terribles. Took home a long sleeve shirt with the name on it. Never fails, everyone thinks it has something to do with marijuana. :headscrat

    AMCguy's combination garage

Is that an early Hornet? How about some pics. Do you have any other AMC vehicles. My Dad bought a 70 360 HI PO Javelin back in 1970, my love for muscle cars was born. Most popular line, "open the scoop dad". They had a functional vacuum operated hood scoop which made a gnarly growl when you...
