Cheap Cooling Solution St. George Utah Garage

We're in Phoenix and experience similar temperatures. Our RV garage is 20'x50', stick built with 2"x 6" walls, a radiant barrier on the underside of the roof decking and heavily insulated in the walls and ceiling. It is a separate structure from our uninsulated 2 car garage. In the winters, the...

What do you guys with a lift use for an oil pan

That looks like a nice set up. But have you used it yet? Because I wonder; if "burping" open the large ball valve in the drain tube caused oil shoot to shoot upwards causing a big mess, won't opening the blue handled valve to depressurize the tank do the same, only through a smaller ¼" opening...

What do you guys with a lift use for an oil pan

I have the HF drain can too. All I have to say about it is..for the love of God, don't plug an airline in to one of these for the first time attempting to fill the plastic container the oil came in when it is inside your shop and close to things that are near and dear to you. Just don't. Raising...

New Dewalt air compressor-converting from 120 to 2401v

Just to clarify this excellent reply slightly; in general when you double the voltage, the amp draw drops by half on electric motors. This is why you can run much smaller wire and explains why many large companies specify 240/480 volt equipment.

    Challenger SA10

Challenger makes perfectly good lifts and is a perfectly reputable company. It sounds like your local guy has one in stock and is on the ball if he can install it tomorrow. It should easily lift all of the vehicles you listed. If you are good with price, Id say go for it.

Hose reel hose size, 3/8 or 1/2 inch.

I have a couple of ⅜" x 50' hose reels. They are fed from ¾" copper lines. I've never wished the hose reels were any bigger. But I don't paint with compressed air either.

    Shop Bathroom ?

Below is a link to a picture of the rough in plumbing under my garage floor. Shower, (closest) toilet & sink. The only P trap is for the shower. A toilet should drop straight to an elbow. The actual P trap in a toilet will be built in to the porcelain base. A sink will have a P trap installed...

what gas line to use for under ground? is this okay?

That yellow stuff is usually what is used for direct burial for natural gas. The problem you will likely run in to is that while you can buy the gas line, the fittings are only sold to licensed plumbers. At least that is case we ran in to here in the Phoenix area. We only needed a short run...

    Lowes, now sears

We used to really like Lowe's. At the end of 2016 we used them for all the window coverings in our new home and a new water softener. We even bought a new Whirlpool Food Condo (it cost too dang much to be referred to as simply a refrigerator) for the new kitchen as we had bought a few other...

    Cordless Caulk Gun, Worth It?

Another vote for the Ryobi One+ caulking gun. I have arthritis in my hands. Bought one a couple of years ago when our new home was being built. It effortlessly pushed cases of caulk in to gaps and seams during the build. I thought it would never get used after the build, but I'm surprised how...
