    Tools from the old world

:Twitch:  I really want to cry right now.... I would have no use of these as I don't plan to work on satellite's fasteners or MRI scanners but as a lover of the Facom 40 series I hope that one day I'll find one for my collection! @superautobacs Nice Beta chisels, it reminds me one of my...

    Tools from the old world

@ Vinko: I can't speak concerning all of their tools of course but the 1/4" and 1/2" sets I bought from them didn't have any France on them nor on the tools. The most interesting thing is that from the informations that Monte grabbed from Facom customer service, the 1/2" sockets are made in...

where to buy a facom ratchet?

I guess they want people to pay less attention to France than to Facom so they can sell tools with all the coo they want, people won't care as long as it is Facom. I'm not sure it works, I often hear people say "Facom is not what it was anymore","You never see France anymore, I've heard...

where to buy a facom ratchet?

I guess you're talking about what's marked on his website, not the tool itself? Lots of the new products are made in Asia you're right, but the basic tools seem to stay in Europe, but for how long  Ho yes I forgot this one, sorry master :D

where to buy a facom ratchet?

Actually they're made in Italy... (except the rotator) It may be weird but sometime even made in France Facom have no "France" written on it :)

where to buy a facom ratchet?

It doesn't sound very logical but France is not the place to get the best prices for Facom (I live at the belgian border), I would say the UK... :)

where to buy a facom ratchet?

Don't say that too loud, some SO aficionados might not appreciate :) And I'd understand, I like my Facoms very much, they're very smooth but a dual 80 is on my wishlist too, it's probably an excellent ratchet! 50$ is fair as it's an imported tool for you, here they're sold for 40$-45$ in good...

    Tools from the old world

It's difficult to buy a used one here, it's very hard to find quality on the second hand market, or people ask crazy amounts for it. Most of the time I see JET.XL roll cab for sale (empty) people ask more than the price of a new one... I see 2 reasons: -Most of people buy **** tools so good...

the absolute BEST battery powered impact you can buy?

Always trying to make me go further in the dark side as I see :bounce: I'm happy of my Bosch cordless drill (Swiss too) but the angle grinder is a good idea, and cheaper than I thought... They ship to Belgium for 25£, so I'll keep it in mind for my "spring" powertool shopping!

Lol, looks like a conspiracy... It's a desease I have since I'm a child, I need to disassemble and reassemble things, even if I got a brand new Ferrari I would do this after a few months, Lego generation I guess... Thanks for looking, the price for the cheapest one is not that bad yes, I'll...

If you really want to touch one it will probably be difficult, even here I've never seen one in a Facom shop... I thought that the place where I bought mine didn't have any left anymore but they do! here for 77$+ shipping, and they accept offers, I got my set for 70$+shipping (but I bought...

the absolute BEST battery powered impact you can buy?

Interesting, first time I hear about this, I've never noticed this with mine... Maybe the first generation of Bosch Li-Ion? I've friends who had problems with them As I said earlier, concerning Bosch's higher torque spec, we should be carefull about what's written on the manufacturer's...
