    Recommendation for Oscillating Multi Tool

I have the Milwaukee M12, it's very good. I wouldn't go for the M18 version - the tool itself is quite large and bulky, I use them with smaller batteries only. You won't be dissapointed.

    Tools from the old world

I have Stahlwille pick set, which is also made in China, but it is great quality. I even prefer it to my PB Swiss. Anyway one must be careful and check COO.

    Tools from the old world

I used to have their bit set, I think it's not longer available. Stahlwille looks quite similar :). They probably used the same suppliers which honestly surprised me.

Koken Impact vs non-impact lug nut sockets - what's better? Is there any disadvantage of using impact socket with torque wrench ?

I have the 17mm long impact socket that I use for lug nuts and I love it. It has thin walls, a protective sleeve and the length is perfect. Definitely recommend.

Sprays, Lubricants, Oils, Greases: Favorites and Requirements?

I live in Europe, I bought it from my local Wurth dealer. However it cost me 30$. 110$ is crazy. Try Amazon.de, maybe it’s available there with delivery to the US?

Sprays, Lubricants, Oils, Greases: Favorites and Requirements?

I like Wurth’s brake cleaner, but I would go too quickly through the spray cans. I bought this sprayer and it’s awesome - somehow the break cleaner doesn’t destroy the seals. Highly recommend it. I’ve seen in in many shops too.

    The Facom Tools Thread.

Hazet is not an option because they are expensive AF. Too expensive in my opinion. I have a set of Gedore hammers and they are really good. Regarding Gedore tools being used in industrial settings you’re probably right. When you look at Troostwijk or Surplex, there is a lot of Gedore items for...

I like the matte finish on Gedore. I tried checking Elora, no distribution where I live. Also checked on Amazon.de, not available there either. That's the set I was considering. It's €140 on Amazon.de. The best price I could find for Facom's 440XL.JP8PB is around €90. I guess it's down to...

    The Facom Tools Thread.

I need some long wrenches, and because the 440 XL line omits so many sizes, I think I am going to go for a Gedore's 7XL set. They are the same length, and the size range is much wider.

Beautiful wrenches. Could you please do a side by side photo of the 440XL and the regular 440? I am wondering how much longer the XL series is.

    Mid Tier tool brand

To check what the price should be visit Idealo.de. It's a German price comparison website, it's going to give you an idea if the price on Amazon is fair or not. I just love the smooth QR ratchets and matte chrome I guess. I almost never pay full retail for Stahlwille, trying to look for a good...

    Mid Tier tool brand

Could you please elaborate why Stahlwille dissapoints you? I love their tools. Especially ratchets and sockets. I have and use Facom as well, but I'd say the quality is generally worse than Stahlwille. Given that I do not have that many Stahlwille tools as they are really expensive. Also I'm a...

    Tools from the old world

I have some of the Stahlwille QR myself, and I love it. I love the extensions, they are super useful especially for engine bay work. I bought the flexhead because a lot of people praise them here - however I mostly use it flat, simply as a longer ratchet for leverage.

Ratcheting Wrenches: 0 Degree vs Slight Offset vs Flex and Reversible vs Not

I have two sets from Garant. I bought the flex head set first. Sometimes I was annoyed at the flappy flex head, so I bought a second set (on the left) of flat/no offset wrenches. The result is - I use the flex head ones 95% of the time.

The handle used to have „Made in Germany” written on it. Now it doesn’t. They claim this:

Jens Sputzier vs Amazon.de/other for Hazet

I'm not a customer, as I live in Europe, but I really appreciate KC Tool's website. It's great that you provide the COO for every product. Sometimes I go on your website to check the COO of a particular tool I am considering purchasing. Second, you have a great website in terms of UX and...

Gedore copper 750g hammer. I checked, it’s made in Germany. Feels really well made. I like the retaining collar on the top which provides additional safety.

    Buying Tools Hindsight

Prioritize. Too many times I bought something coming from a great brand because of a good deal. I still do. Focus on getting the stuff you actually need first, then go chasing discounts.

    The Facom Tools Thread.

Thanks for pointing it out. I missed that. I don't have a Stahlwille dealer nearby who has tools in stock so you can actually feel them in your hand, hence the question. I am probably going to go with the Facom 440XLs then. I could really use the extra leverage. This weekend I was working on my...

    The Facom Tools Thread.

By any chance, do you have experience with Stahlwille's Open Box 14 - their long combination wrenches? How do they compare to Facom 440XL? From what I've seen the wrenches from Facom are longer, and quite a bit cheaper.
