    Astro Pneumatic Tool Company

Does anyone know if the Astro 78930 disconnect kit has a jiffy tite type tool? I find those really useful and want a more comprehensive set than the random plastic ones I have. Those tend to get lost very easily...

Removing exceptionally difficult to remove exhaust gasket material?

Tap the surface with a small ball peen hammer. The gasket will start to lift off. This also works when you have to remove stuck on gaskets in difficult areas.

    Little Clark forklift

There's a guy on here with a Clark forklift painted like a station wagon with a piece of luggage on top. An ode to National Lampoons. Always wanted one like that.

Mini pruning chainsaws, are they safe?

I haven't used the Diablo pruning blades but have quite a bit of time on the Milwaukee pruning blades. I would recommend those. The Milwaukee blades don't pull the saw into the cut. You can cut with the tip of the blade or anywhere along the blade's length. They aren't carbide but they last a...

Lawn mower for 1 acre lot

Keeping your wheels moving does help but ringing trees and posts is just hard on grass. It won't happen overnight but even if you go nice and slow you will still eventually damage anything aside from a vigorous grower like Bermuda. Reduced sunlight under a trees dripline doesn't help either and...

What are double box ratcheting wrenches good for?

Eh, it won't be picture perfect but it'll probably still work. And if it breaks buy yourself a better wrench.

    Asphalt Millings + Geo Grid

That grid is way, way stronger than you'd think just looking at it. We have sections at work that support turf grass with propane trucks that go over it. It's not fun when you hit it with a trencher though.

Pressure Tanks n Reserves for long term showers

More tanks are more places to leak or otherwise fail. More fittings, etc. One of the houses at work has, I think, six water heaters and four pressure tanks. It's really a lot more complicated than it needs to be.

    Snap On TQS6A

I may add it to the collection. Might.

    Snap On TQS6A

I have never seen anything quite like this. The price seems steep but new from Snap On is over $500. Would this have any value for resale or be significantly better than the Husky torque screwdriver I bought years ago?

    Mower deck wash attachments: opinions?

I don't think they would work if you let the grass dry at all. If you try it, set the deck low right after cutting and run the deck while washing. Introducing more water wouldn't be a concern for me. Mower decks are in constant contact with water through grass clippings.

Lets see your Glass Cleaning secret weapons! What do you love or hate?

Clean the glass with ammonia and once it's dry polish with the steel wool. It gets everything off the windshield. If the glass isn't too pitted the windshield appears invisible in the right light. A friend watched me doing that and thought I was crazy until he saw the results. It's super clean...

Blown Hydraulic hose, repair? Two post Bend Pak

If you can do that, do that. By your description I thought you couldn't access the cylinder with the lift up.

Lets see your Glass Cleaning secret weapons! What do you love or hate?

I like ammonia, followed by superfine steel wool.

Blown Hydraulic hose, repair? Two post Bend Pak

Could you crib high enough to raise the lift of the stop, let it down to the next pin and then repeat? It'd take a while and you'd need help to lower both sides at the same time but I think it could be done.

    Chainsaw Chains

A surprising number of shops will condemn a saw to try and sell you a new one.

Mower Purchase/Zero Turn and Stander Decision

There's nothing wrong with the advantage deck either. We just replaced the advantage on a seventeen year old turf tiger and it cuts very well. It doesn't mulch or discharge as well as the velocity plus decks on the newer scags but that mower is still running a smaller engine than they are.

Mower Purchase/Zero Turn and Stander Decision

Stand on mowers are nice and, if you can stand it, more comfortable than a regular zero turn if you're going to spend all day cutting in the heat of summer. You can lean back and have airflow around your entire lower body. It's hard to avoid a musty rear end in August after eight hours on a zero...
