There's another thread, I think. Called something like The Strong Arm of Tools.

    carlyle 90 tooth ratchet (R38L90)

I have that ratchet. It's alright and will certainly work but prefer their 90 tooth in half inch. The 3/8 has a tendency to bind if any lateral pressure is but on it, especially if you are using an extension.

Is this homemade or an old commercial hack- saw?

Re: Is this homemade or an old commercial band saw? That's a power hacksaw. I'm not sure if it's completely diy but it might've come from a kit. Either that or it's a very well made home job.

    Impressive tool: Milwaukee Hackzall

I love mine. There's nothing better for trimming branches with a Milwaukee pruning blade. And, yes, the brand matters for pruning.

I'd probably go with a holesaw.

What surprising tools don’t you own...

That's crazy. Not as crazy as Harry Homeowner buying a ball pein to drive nails but crazy.

What surprising tools don’t you own...

I've thought about a track saw in lieu of a table saw but one of my big uses would be cutting down narrow strips. What surprising tools don’t you own...

The big one right now is a table saw. I was looking at getting one, doing my research, and then The Plague hit, so any purchases like that are put off for the foreseeable future.

    The Big Plastic Tool Cases

You can cut the guts out of them and use them for other stuff if you don't need the case for the tool itself. That can be handy.

    New Wrenches (Gedore 1 B-020 8-32mm Set)

I have those wrenches as well. They haven't gotten much use but I do like them.

Gearwrench Surface Drive Plus doesn't work

The ones I have are decent wrenches. Not fancy and not very pretty but they work well. I used to routinely wail the piss out of the 15/16 with a hammer and it never skipped a beat.

Gearwrench Surface Drive Plus doesn't work

I'm pretty sure my gearwrench combos are surface drive and I've never experienced that problem. They have the little divots in the open end?

Does Gearwrench offer 3/8" drive 23mm sockets?

How about a badly rusted 15/16 bolt head?

    Free rusty SO ferret ratchet

I love the tiny stuff. If nobody else takes you up on it I'd be happy to give your ratchet a good home.
