    Today's angle grinder thread

This is my experience as well. A HF grinder will get the job done but... If you run it for a while you wind up with old man hands. Stick out like claws from arthritis.

I'm about to work on Mama's generator before the storm. If it needs parts she might be SOL.

Hog ring anvil VS pin anvil?

My brother had one yeas ago that worked well on his S-10. They are designed for lug nuts. I think his was a Hitachi. Maybe, it was green. With the hammers in the nose you really don't need that much power to break lugs free.

Hog ring anvil VS pin anvil?

When I was shopping a few years ago the pin style were a bit cheaper too. If you can live with pushing the pin in for limited use, that might be something to consider. A 24" breaker bar is a lot cheaper though, and doesn't lose its charge over time. A 12v impact might be a good option too, if...

My Stahlwille ratchet handles aren't crooked..

This talk about the chair is funny. A friend of mine from South Africa recommend an Eames chair to relieve lower back pain. I checked them out and got back to him the next day... I said, "Andre, that chair costs $6,000... I could buy a house on wheels for that kind of money!"

    Need some 25mm+ wrenches

Big wrenches are really expensive from name brands. For a machine like that I would get a set of large angle wrenches to deal with fittings and a big socket set for whatever nuts and bolts you might need to loosen or tighten. A heavy equipment mechanic I know has a few sets of HF jumbo angle...

And if you need more than that a radial arm drill press is hard to beat. Carlton made a good press, if you can get one home.

Is this HF $69 vise a good starter vise? Or should I spend more elsewhere.

I can't say for certain that they were all bought at Harbor Freight, but every farm shop around here has one of those import swivel vises. They are surprisingly tough.

    Anyone else like Knipex?

Their cutters are all really good in my experience. The cobras are great too, they grip very well and open much wider than a channellock of the same length. That's more useful than you might think.

    Inexpensive Cattle Fencing?

High tensile wire fences aren't inexpensive. In my opinion it's the best fence for keeping stock in but there's a learning curve and tooling that you need to put one up. Materials get expensive fast too.

    Testing Out a New Screwdriver

It isn't going to apply more torque than you could with your hand but I'll bet the spring makes a satisfying snap when it finally does break a screw free.
