    Porter Cable NiCd charger parts????

Eek. Yes, you should be able to fix that with a jumper wire if there is no underlying damage. It certainly going to be easier and cheaper than finding a replacement.

I spent 40K building a garage so I could fill it with HF junk

Conversely, my $100 chinese-made Crescent starter set, chinese-made Torin jack, and chinese-made 25" HF breaker bar have performed beautifully on the $100k worth of cars I have. (Not a joke.) Why would anyone spend tons of money, or even debt, to purchase the same tools, or more tools that do...

    Astro Pneumatic Tool Company

Cool, an AP thread. I purchased AP's 1427 Rivet-Nut kit about a year ago. It took me a few riv-nuts to get the hang of the tool (will strip riv-nuts) but it got the job done and the project has held up since. I kinda wish I had another use for it now.

CMan Warranty Return - Gift Card Option?

If they offer you a gift card and you want to get out of Craftsman, you may want to look at their online store. They stock a number of brands including Armstrong. While their tools may no longer be made in the US, Sear's customer service is still pretty good. I recently received a $40 card to...

Sound Deadening for an Apartment "Shop"

I also have a condo, and it's my opinion that you'd be better off removing the carpet and installing tile, then buy some gym-style foam floor tiles and you'll be good. But that's me. Personally, I don't have any carpet in my house and the amount of dirt I clean up regularly from my tile...

Anyone have a first aid kit in their garage?

If you have a laceration that requires closure in the first place, you should be cleaning out the wound. Though, reading the posts here, I see that's not necessarily a common practice.

Anyone have a first aid kit in their garage?

I'm surprised at how many working home garages don't have a reasonable first aid kit. I suppose as a former boy scout and trained rescue diver, it's second hand nature for me to put these things together. I have an Eagle Creek Pack-It Half Cube in red, full of the bare essentials. I plan on...
