    Harbor Freight Pittsburgh PRO screwdrivers……...

Are you sure that's a Pittsburgh Pro? It looks like one of their non-Pro models to me. Not that any screwdriver should break that way...

$2.99 Stanely hand tools @ Ace.

The chisels aren't bad, I picked up a set to use when I don't want to risk my better chisels.

    Channellock 424 1/2-Inch Jaw Capacity 4-1/2-Inch T&G Pliers $9.76 @ Amazon

Nice work Paul, if I asked my boys to bring me food it'd be eaten before it got anywhere near me, they are like locusts. If you do buy a pair of 424s don't be shocked at their tiny size, they look like a toy but they're quite tough, I've abused mine and have yet to break them.

    Channellock 424 1/2-Inch Jaw Capacity 4-1/2-Inch T&G Pliers $9.76 @ Amazon

Yep, you'd think with what they charge for a pound of pistachios they'd guarantee they all had a crack! By the way, I just used my 424s to remove a corroded light bulb ferrule from the range hood above the stove. They are truly a useful tool...

    Channellock 424 1/2-Inch Jaw Capacity 4-1/2-Inch T&G Pliers $9.76 @ Amazon

I use mine at least daily. Some examples from the last few weeks: pulling staples at the office, loosening small nuts and bolts, squeezing together the back on one of my wife's earrings, holding small parts against a wire wheel, lifting hot lids off of pots when camping, cracking those annoying...

    Channellock 424 1/2-Inch Jaw Capacity 4-1/2-Inch T&G Pliers $9.76 @ Amazon

Thanks OP, in for a pair. I found a pair of these in a parking lot 5 years ago and I've carried them in my pocket nearly every day since then. They are a great little pair of pliers and combined with a Swiss Army Knife they make an excellent pocket toolkit. I used to carry a Leatherman daily...

Mechanix Gloves $10 BF & Cyber Monday

I got a FedEx shipping notice on Wednesday, they are supposed to arrive by Tuesday, I guess they selected the "bicycle courier" service from FedEx. Oh well, can't complain for under $10 a pair.

Variety pack of different brand import wrenches

That's actually kind of cool in a weird way. So don't keep us hanging OP, how many sets did you buy? :lol_hitti

Do you use a ratcheting screwdriver?

How is it I never heard of these (wire nut drivers)?? I went through a serious illness a couple of years ago and lost a lot of muscle mass. I've done a couple of wiring projects at home since then and I've found it tough to twist the wire nuts hard enough to get them secure, especially when...

How to use Ace Hardware 50% off BF code multiple times

I picture a bunch of 80 year old curmudgeony guys doing their purchasing, they have a bunch of weird dated stuff that doesn't have much of a market anymore (like a whole aisle of mobile home parts) but their selection of stuff with more general appeal (hardware, plumbing, electrical, etc) is...

How to use Ace Hardware 50% off BF code multiple times

Maybe next year we need a thread on how to use this coupon, I wasted an hour wandering the aisles trying to find a bargain and I noticed a couple other guys who appeared to be doing the same thing. It's tough at Ace since their non-sale prices are 20-30% higher than anybody else. I ended up...

Mechanix Gloves $10 BF & Cyber Monday

Has anybody used these before? I wonder how the touch sensitive gloves hold up compared to the standard ones, it looks like they have different material on the fingers to make them touch sensitive. Edit: Nobody answered me in 60 seconds so I bought 4 pairs, wanted to get in on the deal before...

    gold plated channellocks

I only speak from (indirect) personal experience, maybe once in a while (no doubt on a Wednesday or Thursday) the assembly line got it right. My dad had a Horizon (I think it was a 79). I remember one rainy Christmas we were driving to my grandparents house. I was riding in the back seat and...

    gold plated channellocks

Those are cool but it's funny that Chrysler would choose Channellocks as an award for technicians. Nothing against Channellocks (i love 'em) but they aren't exactly a precision tool. Nothing says '80s Chrysler quality like a pair of Channellocks and a big 'ol hammer. Finesse that K car!

BlackFriday 2014 - Post Stuff Here!

I spent an hour searching for something to use that coupon on, finally got a pair of ViseGrip sheet metal flanging pliers. They'll come in handy and at $10 I felt good about the deal.

BlackFriday 2014 - Post Stuff Here!

Speaking of Gearwrench, Ace Hardware has 6 piece Metric and SAE sets for $9.99. They look to be old stock (the packaging is a bit shelf worn) but that means the coo is Taiwan. If your store is like mine you'll have to really dig to find them though, they like to hide the loss leaders at the...

BlackFriday 2014 - Post Stuff Here!

Thanks, that's a good price on the Puma if anybody is looking for one. There aren't any Northern stores near me and $210 shipping pretty much kills the deal for me. :( I'm headed over to TSC to check out that Porter Cable, not a bad price for a basic 60 gallon compressor. Edit: I checked...

Has anybody seen any deals on a 60 gallon compressor? I'd hoped to buy one this year but haven't seen any bargains yet.

    Ladder - stand offs?

I have a basic one like buddyboy posted above and I love it. I've been nervous on ladders ever since I watched my dad take a bad tumble from one nearly 10 years ago. A standoff makes even a light duty extension ladder feel much more stable. It also allows you to straddle windows and it...
