How crazy is moving a custom built carport?

Have to go with # 1 survey, money well spent and # 2 disassembly of building for a win, win. Fun spending other people's money. Neighbors, yeah we have a karen to, one out of about twenty. Rules only apply to everyone else but them.

    5" floor fibermesh only

Half to go with the rebar and expansion joints. Unfortunately concrete cracks and all we can do is try to keep the cracks tight by using rebar. Also not many crack repair products that produce a neat alternative for to little rebar used. Look at it this way, you will be set for the future lift?

Trying to get a 30x40 shop built in Idaho County Idaho

I framed are shop and had to hire help with rolling the trusses and sheating them. The crew came recommended by a neighbor and it turned out to be the worst few days of my life. In the end it turned out OK but I'm left with the feeling of never ever again. Can't stress enough if you can't do it...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Finally have something, was thinking of relocating so picked up a container of sheetrock mud and a gallon of paint. Man what a improvement. Didn't realize there was so many smudges and screw holes. Paint never fails to bring a fresh look.

Trying to get a 30x40 shop built in Idaho County Idaho

Real concerns, keep your head on a swivel and ears open. Be patient until you find a legitimate builder. Demand to see some of there past jobs and take everything with a grain of salt. As mentioned above, you can see good job sites and ones that drag on and on for ever. It's all on you and good...

Looks like a cure all your needs vise. Going with the general consensus, it has your name all over it. Just think how cool your shop would be?

    Service Pit

This is such a great web site, never considered a pit. Painted, lights, dry and (out of the way) sounds great to me. Alternative, build a monster shop with a good econical heat source and then a lift?

    Heater hanging location

Hang it as far as reasonable from your work area, in my case new shop and heater. No good heater is loud and noxious.

Moving into metal building shop. The insulation is filthy but intact. Cleaning?

As other's have mentioned, remove all of it for obvious reasons and do a deep clean. Then start upgrading as funds become available. I think it would be money well spent in the long run.

    CLEANEST shop?

My shop could use more organization, sometimes items just don't store well, such as a half roll of paper or buckets and boxes on pallet racks. Constantly trying to minimize plus the dust I swear, it's a battle. Plus having to give up space for seldom used items around the inside perimeter is...

    Pex plumbing connections

99.9 Of my fittings were slipped into expanded pipe. Used the stainless steel compression rings on some and sharkbites on others. Leaks aways boiled down to workmanship, not failed materials.

    Thinking Barn/house

Appreciate all the thoughts, set's a person back a tad. But then you see a all inspiring picture as above and game on. As I see it, the dust and smells would be the worst negatives. Pretty sure those could be marginalized to a decent level. So anyway thanks everyone for there mput. Happy new year.
