I don't know if you were the trigger(and I'm not bothered enough to look) but either way I admire your graceful withdrawal. It takes a big man to accept blame.

I'm sorry that you have been driven to this decision, but not surprized. Armchair experts are at best a mixed blessing..... If you feel that you can at least show us any successes on that car I will be interested to see them. If you don't want to bother I will understand. Hopefully this will...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Sorry Kay, I thought the winking smilie would clue you in that I was joking. I just had a vision of you and your better half keeping a man in ******* to do the heavy lifting. I have probably been reading the wrong sort of stories. I do appreciate the description of the dumbwaiter though. On this...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

That's right. We used to have to have a front Number Plate (Would that be a tag in the States?) but they removed that requirement back in the Sixties. I don't know if they actually banned them but nobody has used one since.

True - but it would give you time to collect all the right parts so you don't have to bodge the job with what you have. If I have misunderstood, and you are all rigged up with the best parts you can get then I apologize

That would be very interesting to most of us Andy. You have some interesting ideas about how to accomplish things that we would never think of so I for one am looking forward to it. And by the way - I'm with Mr. Zippy that we don't need the pictures of you testing the tub:eek:

Of course! Blue was the French national racing colour, like green for us Brits and Silver for the Germans I think many cars of that era looked cool without bumpers.

That little car is either a Fiat(Topolino possibly) or a Renault (4CV?). If we could see the front I could give you a definite answer.

Nah! That's just standard man-maths. Proper Strouty maths would mean buying enough lights to fit out a stadium:ROFLMAO:

Just a little sidebar. How effective are those heaters? I have only driven Volkswagens during the summer so I have no idea how warm the car gets in winter.

It's good to hear of one of your purchases exceeding expectations. I like to hear you being chipper once in a while.(y)
