Will do! Trying to find the best price of conduit now crazy how much that and wire went up!

    Sub panel wire sizing.

I played around with the drop calculators and it looks like it takes a load of around 75amps before I cross 3% with #2 wire and at 90amp full load it's 3.88% for the total run. So I thinks #2 is is fine the whole distance. XHHW-2 is legal to pass through interiors in conduit correct?

I think I'm going to run conduit from panel to panel to eliminate a JB and connection point. Probably close to the same cost as with SER. Would I be better just buying individual #2 XHHW-2 or #2 MHF for pulling?

Ok so main to #1 sub has 2-2-4-6 then 35-40' to J box I run SER then the remainder to the #2 sub in 2-2-2-4 MHF. Does it help me to upsize the SER or stay with a similar size of what's there? The #2 looks like just under 3% volt drop for the 130' run just don't know how the other portion works...

So the lower the load the lower the drop correct? If I were to run a larger wire from the sub panel inside the garage then to a junction box and convert to #2 MHF for the 130'ish run underground would that affect the voltage drop?

Ok so the guy sold the wire before I got to it! Is voltage drop rated on the max load of your total amps? So If I have a 90amp breaker and use #2 MHF at 180' voltage drop is 4% is that with a 90 amp load or all the time?

So I came across someone local that has a large amount of 1/0 XHHW-2 wire that I could pick up cheap. If I ran 3-1/0 lines and a #2 for a ground and match that with Ser on the inside run would that work for the 90amp sub? Also I believe that would fit in 1 1/2” conduit.

Please recommend a durable but reasonably priced bedroom flooring

I lay LVT down all the time and I have it in my bedroom/closets it's a great product. You just have to find a good brand at a good price. The box store brands are not good quality and have a relative low wear rating. Also the two types of cores of the plank are wood core or stone spc core. IMHO...

    Control joints

I knew better about my Harley kick stand however my cousin dropped his Big touring Harley off one day when I wasn't home and it left a nice mark!

    Control joints

Yes it was a learning experience when I first did the other floor. I kinda went in thinking it was bullet proof but quickly found out it was not. I learned quickly to roll metal wheels gently and if using a jack or stands to place a thick vinyl pad under them.

How is the product with a jack with metal wheels lifting a vehicle? I made that mistake with the Roll on Rock floor in my last garage left two wheel indents and also a motorcycle kickstand left a divot. Just seemed like a thick but soft product I assume most are probably the same but I have no...

    Control joints

I don't even know that a full broadcast floor is ideal for my shop. I found with moving shop equipment around it's not very forgiving. Looks great but for a working shop I'm not so sure.

    Control joints

When I chatted with Versatile they have a few product for filling joints but thought their 1010 would work fine for this task. It's a non flex epoxy mortar.

So using a flexible product in the joint will flex with the joint some but the coating on top will not correct? Just wondering if a non flexible product would be better and if a crack happens most likely not be in the fill area.

    Sub panel wire sizing.

So what I have is when leaving my mud room there is a 3 way switch for the outside wall lights on the 1st garage and inside the 1st garage is a 3 way switch for those as well. So considering I will be in the panel next to the switch I was hoping to run a 3 wire down to the new garage so I could...

    Control joints

Yes if you look at the joints where they go to the walls and the saw stopped there are small hairline cracks from the cut to the wall. There are no expansion joints around the perimeter walls which I did on purpose. Knowing concrete shrinks most of the time curing which it has to a small degree...

    Control joints

I'm getting ready to epoxy my 35x50' garage floor and it is saw cut into basically 10' blocks. I would like to fill the joints before applying the epoxy and flake so it's a seamless job. Is this a bad idea? The floor is 3 months old and I will more than likely be using Versatile products unless...

Next question can I drop a 12 or 14 wire in the 2" conduit with the 2/0 lines or should I run a separate 3/4" conduit for the small wires? I have lights I need on a 3 way for the front of the garage.
