I used wd-40 rust inhibitor. It is supposed to protect tools for 1 year. So far so good.

I've had issues with mine as well. The LED quit working after a few months. And it has failed me a few times. Had to pull out the breaker bar. Looking into Milwaukee currently.

I have owned the sk 3/8 set for over a year, no issues. Havnt used the ratchet much. Replaced it with a snap-on dual 80.

Recently purchased a craftsman metric long ball hex socket set. Description said made in the USA, pic was blurry specially where the COO was. Set came in and was made in China. I returned them for a full refund, seller claimed he had multiple sets, some china some US.

I have the HF 1/4 composite ratchet. I really like it. Still trying to get used to the reverse lever. Opposite direction from my craftsman and snap on.

What tools do you use at work? I see your a caterpillar mechanic.

Looking for a preferably new snap on shr80a ratchet. But also interested in a used one. This is the 1/2dr comfort handle with a quick release.

What's your budget for a new saw? Ace hardware sometimes has stihl homeowner saws for under $200.

I use stihls all day. And we just got a new ms270 with a 16" bar about a month ago. It feels pretty good in your hands. Easy start, vibration is minimum and not too heavy. Plus they can take a beating all day long.
