I'm thinking parts will be difficult to buy. I would doubt apex would warranty much of anything as they are sending anything and everything to china. They're in the garbage business.. I salute you for wanting to fix a broken tool, as I do the same with ratchets and other 'worth saving' items...

I'm thinking they're wire holders so you can connect the wires with solder or a crimp lug. I've used similar tools to hold data wires in a cabinet while a lug or solder connection is made.

I have been given tools that were too far gone with rust or simple abuse to save. At work there is a recycle bin for ferrous and non ferrous metals. Into the ferrous bin they go.

Desperate measures at desperate times for Sears. It's total BS. In my experience with garbage from asia the sockets round out or simply crack, drill bits last maybe once or twice then it's time to replace them, wrenches stretch...the list goes on and on. I'll keep my American stuff in service...

I have this same set. The writing on the end (I believe) said New Britain. It was a bit worn off when I picked up the set. Hex key drive is what got me to buy it.

Klein is top quality stuff. I have many screwdrivers, strippers, wire cutters....the list goes on that have lasted many years of use. Beware though...some of the stuff (like screwdrivers) has gone to taiwan. Not for me. I don't know if the Bluepoint is worth spending the extra cash on...

I run into this problem myself. USA sockets used to be found in a big box and sell for $1 or $2 each. Big ones, sometimes as much as $5. I would drop some cash here. Now with the invasion of garbage from china and taiwan, the USA stuff either has vanished or has been priced much higher. I...

Klein tool. Look for made in USA. Some of the stuff is garbage from taiwan so watch out. I have used Klein stuff for many years and have had very good luck.
