What did you do "IN" your garage today?

You are wearing a respirator, aren’t you?? Lol Joking aside, that was something I needed to hear. I take after my parents all too often when it comes to finishing projects, and I end up losing the motivation to see it through. Maybe I need to make a sign like that for myself.

Aren’t they required to wear special glasses when driving, for that purpose? I know my colourblind buddy does.

Those Black Jack kits are awesome, I have two of them, keep one in each vehicle. Very solid handles.

Oh dang I’ve never heard anyone else mention that name before. Fine and Pleasant Misery was the first of his books I acquired and was one of my favourite books growing up.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Yeah, but that usually only happens on longer trips though. I have also had my SiriusXM eclipsed by somebody else’s FM transmitter in town but only briefly 😂

Yeah but you still need a functioning antenna to pick up the FM signal from said device…

I’m hardly even a welder but I asked one of our pipefitters about that last year and he told me he doesn’t really bother with the FR shirts as the regular ones are just as resistant to welding sparks. The only difference is that the FR is more resistant to, well, flames. He said hot molten...

The problem is the UV protection layer gets removed, by sanding or whatever, and so they cloud up quite quickly again. The best way is sand them down and shoot a coat of good UV resistant clear on them.

    Makita Addiction Thread

Oh yeah, circular saw, recip saw, I think any higher-draw tool can probably benefit from larger batteries. Unfortunately I have to use Milwaukee for work, as I’m not the one buying the tools, but on the job site almost everything we use is cordless, and the grinders kill 5ah batteries in...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

If I recall correctly, 2002 was the last year for the C/K designation for GM trucks.

In n out of the garage for cleaning supplies for the camper. Cleaned it a bunch and turned on the ozone generator. The mice got into it last fall and I had to trap 4 of them before they decided it wasn’t a friendly place. Nasty critters. Now my vacuum smells like mouse ****.

Good to know. My mom used to have a bunch of (maybe Tupperware?) lids that happened to fit tuna cans, but I didn’t know they made these too.

What kind of tools have you found in the road??

Some poor sap lost his nearly new 40oz MAC ball peen at the side of the highway and I picked it up, even got paid to do it as I was on the way to a job site lol.

I like that. I like that a lot. Looks a lot safer than the widowmaker jack in my Volkswagen, and much slimmer profile for storage.
