    MHF should carry the RHH/RHW-2 rating. 2/2/2/4 with a 90A breaker would be fine. You can check to see if code in your area would permit 2/2/4/6 that what Ill be running where I don't have many 120v loads as its a little less per foot. :headscrat

    Do you have the line capped off and not going into the heater? you should not be pressure testing the line with any appliances attached is what I was told especially at 10 PSI

    Caps most likely, they will degrade and dry out over the years then you have unstable voltages causing the drift. They are one of those things that just goes bad with age.
