    Finally finishing it!

I hear you about the seams. My ceilings are 9'. What i did was put trim around the whole perimeter with 1x4 pine that was cut a a 45 degree angle at the top. Then i added shelves with a reverse 45 on the back so i could simply slide them on and off. Worked out pretty well. Being 6'7" make it a...

    OSB vs Drywall

Correct .knock down dw ceiling. No finish at all. With age it changes from a very light color (similar to a new 2x4) to more of the goldish tint that you see in the pic. You can see were the clock is that a poster was there at one time and how the color has changed.

    Finally finishing it!

I used 4x8 5/8 sheets of pine siding for the walls in my small shop. They go up quick. You can see the picks in the link below.

    OSB vs Drywall

I decided on a 3rd option. 5/8 ", pine siding in my shop. a 4x8 sheet is a little over $20 so the initial expense is a bit much. However no taping, mudding, texturing, painting, or repairing at a later date. Plus I think it is the best looking option. I also have it in my attached garage the...

    The Shop

I love watching the process of people building their shops to their liking. Good luck, i'll be watching. Part of me is glad that my small shop is finished (not sure they are ever finished). On the other hand, I would love to start from scratch and go through the whole process again. Kevin

My shop, home away from home, money pit

Had a couple projects planned for the weekend but drove to St Louis and went to game 7. What an experience!!!!! A bit much on the pocketbook, but I'd rather have the memory with by son than the $$

My shop, home away from home, money pit

UH OH!! I just realized that since I joined this site a few weeks ago, I have spent way to much $$ on tools and such. Dewalt tile saw, Milwaukee 12v impact driver, and farenheat heater for the winter, and a few misc items..........SLOW DOWN!!!!

Do you buy tools you don't use?

I use to own 3 tape measures and could never find one of them. For about 6-8 months, everytime I saw one on sale, I would buy it. Now, my wife gets irritated because there seems to be a tape measure laying around in every room I you the house. I definitely don't need all of them.

My shop, home away from home, money pit

Thanks. I'm 6' 7" so I have a tendency to build shelves, benches, and stands up where it is inconvenient for others to use. To bad for them. LOL!

    Small cordless drill suggestions

I agree. I'm actually trying to decide if I "need" an 18v and a 12v. Since I already have a couple m12 batteries, I think ill try to pick up a "tool only" auction on ebay. Looks like I can get just the drill for $50 or so

    Small cordless drill suggestions

I love my 18v makita drill but sometimes it is a pain to drag around especially if I'm on a ladder like I was today. I'm thinking about something in the 12v or smaller range to handle the smaller jobs. I know the newer 12v have a lot of punch to them. What are you guys using?.......thanks
