Morning all When hanging a big maxx with unistrut and threaded rod, are you having it right from the unistrut or running it up through the ceiling to the joists? Tia Chris

looks like SNF use T8 bulbs, and SSF use T12 as well.

Finally got off my lazy behind, and read the manual. Seems stainless cat III is only necessary for horizontal venting and that has been in place since 2011. Standard B-vent is still ok for vertical. looks like i will just buy the kit.

i am assuming you both purchased the stainless kits? I have seen non-stainless kits for 99 dollars at lowes, menards, etc..... is stainless code now? or is the normal B-vent still ok to use?

Whos used the big maxx 3 inch vent kit, for the 50K heater? I'm looking for any good/bad opinions, and whether its worth it to buy the kit, or buy the pieces individually. Thanks.

That's probably what i will have to do. I will just have the heater mounted higher than the lights, like in the picture .

i have a 22x24 8ft wall garage. heres my problem.....in order to keep 8 foot clearance to the bottom of my heater, it will have to go up past the top of the wall, even with the ceiling joists. so do i leave the lights where they are in the picture, and put the heater and ceiling above them...

so after reading this, what i am getting out of it is.....look for lights with residential only ballasts, not the residential/commercial or comercial specific.
