    Voltage drop

that makes sense. I don't see me hitting 60 amps continuous. I have 1 inch conduit that was installed by the previous homeowner, so right now 6 gauge is what I will have to use. I eek check voltage after install, and if need be drop to a 50 amp breaker.

    Voltage drop

I'm not about to argue with either one of you, but i dont understand how these are so far apart. I'm sure its not something that can be explained in detail in a forum, but if i can get the cliff notes. Thanks.

    Attached or detached.

Bringing this back up, as i am slowly getting around to wiring my garage. AHJ deems the garage attached, soo my plan is once the conduit is in the garage, surface mount it and run it to the rear wall of the garage into the subpanel. That way i do not need to do any major work to the fire rated...

    Conduit bodies

Another thought, how are you guys mounting pvc lb's? are you drilling the hole the o.d. of the body, so it sits tight to the wall, or just the o.d. of the pipe so that you have to install and offset to put the pipe back to the wall?

Does this call for uf cable?

It doesnt mount in the wall, it's mounted to the wall surface to act as a j channel for the siding, and the electrical box.

Does this call for uf cable?

so anything going from inside the wall to an outside light fixture or outlet needs to be uf?

Does this call for uf cable?

no i dont, easiest way i can explain it is out of the house in a conduit lb, right into the porch wall. the wire would only be outside for the size a 1/2 lb plus maybe 4 inches of conduit.

Does this call for uf cable?

in order to get wire from my panel to my enclosed porch, i have to go out of the house literally the length of a conduit body and then into the porch. so just to make this 6-8 inch jog, is uf required since its outside for that little bit? or can i legally get away with nm cable? thanks

    Drilling rafters

not different angles, different setbacks. the front wall attaches the two, the rear wall comes off the house then over to the garage, if that makes sense. front wall to rear wall is approx 15 ft.,also the front and rear rooflines have different pitches.
