    Unable to justify cost of new "snap on" boxes I managed to buy a "snap on" rollcab/midbox and top box on eBay. It was then a good clean out and respray to customise the box for my garage.

    Just reading the thread on new compressors and saw the idea of using a sound blanket over the unit. What are the best ways of sound insulating without overheating the unit??

    I suppose you could mount the grinder buffer at 90 degrees to the way it is shown and then one wheel would be completely free from the bench and you could do what you like with it Dave

    I dont know if you have noticed but on picture 1380 of my original thread at the right hand end of the bench I have welded on some angles which I use to clamp sheet metal for folding. Very much like the metal folders you can buy and put in the vice but this one is permanently fixed to the bench...

    I welded a piece of 1 inch square tube to the front angle on the bench, drilled an oversize hole through it and then I have a bolt which is fixed through the base of the grinder that locates in the hole and is fastened by a wing nut Thanks Dave
