    Recommend Me A Truck

I love my Taco! Have driven Toyotas since I was a kid. In fact my dad drove a 1975 Hilux (childhood memories) and loved it.

    Porcelain Tile Questions

I just picked up 13 x 13 porcelean tile on the cheap (relatively speaking, of course) at Home Depot about 3 weeks ago. They had it on sale for 85c/sq.ft and had it sitting by the cashiers in the front of the store. Dark beige color too - exactly what I wanted. I noticed that it was not...

    Impact preference: Pneumatic vs. Battery

LOL! yes, I have lived with a 1/2" breaker bar + cheater so far (Have rebuilt motors, replaced clutches, swapped transmissions, installed truck lifts...), but now that I finally have compressed air in the shop, looking to get one or those new fangled pneumatic air impacts ;)

    Impact preference: Pneumatic vs. Battery

Decision made. Pneumatic it is. The battery ones are all listed in in-lbs. Notice that they do not list the units or torque, bastards! http://www.homedepot.ca/product/18v-...ol-only/965067 Called Makita and asked. I knew something did not make sense. Thanks everyone

    Impact preference: Pneumatic vs. Battery

Yes, have a compressor that can keep up. But here is my concern. You mentioned the IR231. The specs on it 425 ft-lbs of torque. http://www.tptoolbox.com/Ingersoll%20Rand%20%20IR231.htm Here is a battery operated Makita, which I saw on sale last wk for $69 and it claims a torque of 2800...

    Impact preference: Pneumatic vs. Battery

True. lets add the third to the mix as well. Another feature is the noise levels. Air impacts are loudest too at ~110db. Looking for preferences from experienced users, to get the best bang for my buck :)

    Impact preference: Pneumatic vs. Battery

Shopping for an impact wrench for medium-duty home-garage automotive work. The heaviest use it will see is suspension work on my vehicles. Was originally inlined towards a pneumatic gun, but once I started comparing torques between pneumatic and 18V battery operated units, the battery option...

    Can anyone identify this compressor

Interesting. So Chinook K17 it is. Is this a good pump? Why cant I find much info on the internet about it? There is very limited info comapred to some of the other older pumps such as Kellog, DeVillbis...etc I absolutely love this machine. Very quiet and pumps up the 20 gal tank in under 2...

    Can anyone identify this compressor

Amazing - response in less than 10 minutes! I looked up some pics of both the Chinook and Rol Air and it looks closer to the Chinook K17, although not exact. The exhaust valves are on the opposite end and the location of the oil sight glass is slightly different, but this is the closest I have...

    Can anyone identify this compressor

Looking for info on this compressor/compressor-head. Very nicely built and runs strong. Oddly enough, the label on the tank has no manufacturer name, but just the pressure test and vessel manufacturer info. It says Ser. Number: MC 004973 Pressure tested to 160 psig Manchester, Ontario 1993...

    Wknd find: Craftsman grinder $15

Here is what I scored. This thing runs quiet and rock solid! Does not seem like it has seen much use. Even the old 6w lightbulb works. It also came with a box of replacement wheels and wire brushes...etc. Not sure when it was manufactured, but the label says it complies with ANSI 1938...
