lol its funny you say that cause... friday I did one with a semi good wrench. It took me about 5 or 6 minutes to get it cherry red with the torch. Those... 1 or 2 minute was plenty :lol_hitti

you know you liked an idea when you go out and buy a cheap set of wrenchs just for that... some cheap wrenchs, a blow torch, a hammer and a vise are all you need to make it happen :thumbup:

I know about the flux capacitor in the Dolorean, but I have no idea about the compressor :headscrat But my guess is some kind of excessive heat of some switch somewhere on the unit. The intake manifold does get really hot.

I have issues with a compressor of mine. It's a small 110v unit. I'll plug the cord in the outlet, turn the switch ON, then the compressor starts working and building pressure in the tank. Fine, that part works. But all of a sudden, it stops working. The pressure switch should stop the motor at...

When you have enough free time to get replacement tools everytime one breaks, yeah, good stuff for the price. When you don't really feel like going back to the store every now and then to get your stuff exchanged... it's not such a great value. Don't ask me how I know... :mad:

So she's done and has new jaws. I'm just anxious to see how well parts are going to hold up in a jaw that doesn't have the texture. Time will tell I guess.
