When wrench sets skip sizes, how do they decide which to skip?

Just get all sizes. Sockets are cheap.

    Tools from the old world

I am bothered, because you pay 'made in europe' prices for a Taiwan made product. That's why I don't want Facom tools if I can buy Gedore, Hazet or Stahlwille for the same price (or less).

    Breaker bars

I never use a breaker bar, I use my 3/4" ratchet for really tight nuts (sometimes with cheater ).

How much do you use 1/2" drive sockets?

I own all (metric) socket sizes from 4 - 36 mm in 1/4, 1/2" and 3/4". Including Hex and (e)torx in 1/2". Spark plug sockets? 1/2" So why would I need 3/8"? I really see no use for them. And as other people said, Europeans generally don't use 3/8" tools.

How much do you use 1/2" drive sockets?

I only use 1/4" and 1/2". Occasionally 3/4 for axle nuts etc. I don't even own a 3/8" ratchet or sockets as I see no use for them.

I just found out the Skandia ratchet seems to be the same as a Teng tools ratchet.

    Recommend Me a Screwdriver Set

Wera or Felo. Both excellent grips and tips. I never use the hex bolsters on a screwdriver so I can't image using the 1/4" drive recess. Buy the Kraftform plus (300), excellent drivers and cheaper than Felo or Wiha. But I like Wiha the least.

It seems only the screwdrivers are marked "Made in Germany". The wrenches and pliers don't have a COO. Only the Swedish wrench says "Germany." Also the ratcheting wrench looks exactly like the Proxxon. So must be made in Asia.

I think you're right. My guess is the dealer won't take the chance that he doesn't gets compensated by Gedore so he checks with them first. A bit annoying for the customer... Another dealer told me Facom always exchanges broken tools immediately. Anyone knows of other manufacturers that do that...

Spot the difference  They did replace it, but the shop had to send the socket back to the distributor. Unfortunately they don't just exchange broken Gedore tools so you have to wait a while for a new one to arrive... I think it took about two weeks.

    Wera, wiha or heyco screwdrivers

    Wera or Felo

Need jack stands with uni-body notch?

I also use stands without a notch like in the first picture. No problem.

I'll take some pictures the next time I see Skandia tools. The screwdrivers say made in Germany, but I don't know if they're rebranded.

They sell a lot of Skandia tools in Dutch hardware stores. Screwdrivers, wrenches, saws etc.

Gedore 21mm socket, chrome is chipping with only very light use (I think I only used it five times).
