    Rebuilding Walker 882 ram ?

A drum brake hone works well to go over the tube for the ram. You will need to work with the leather cup for the ram to soften the outer edge. Oil will let you "work" it and get the cup started into the bore. Don't spoil the leading edge when installing it. Only great reason for removing the...

    yet another jack identification

Kit pn 240530. Easy to kit but be careful of the gland nut with the wide slots for taking apart. VERY tight and very hard to replace. Several types of that gland due to age. Thoughts on used Challenger 10k lift

Just watch the cables for wear. Frayed wire will make you bleed as you run your hand over it. Watch them for damage. Replacement is no big deal, may want to do this while you have the lift apart.

Under hoist transmission jack - Bendpak/Ranger or Other?

Y ou will not like the price but look at the GRAY HTJ-1000. It is the best and the air lift for the first stage is very nice. Hand pump and release go up with the load and are smooth. Money well spent!
